CHAPTER 15

*******AMY'S POV*******

I was sitting on the couch with Drew at my side, watching TV. Daniel had called earlier saying he was coming from Seattle to see us. Daniel graduated from college three years before I did and he had gotten married to Jessica Agricotti a year after he graduated. They had two kids, a ten year old girl and a seven year old boy. He and his wife were coming to see us because they had heard about Carmen and they wanted to pay their respects. It had been almost four months since she had gone missing and we had pretty much lost all hope of Carmen coming back. I was still devastated and I knew Drew was too but we were trying our best to cope with it. My mom had out together a movie of her life up until fifteen and we had watched it who knows how many times. Most of our families knew already and they had given us their regards but it hadn't helped much. We went to the doctor recently and he assured us that the baby was in no danger, thank goodness. At least we had the baby to be happy about. It would to be nice to be happy around here again. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the doorbell ring. Drew squeezed my hand and got up to answer the door. I heard Drew and Daniel talking and two little kids squealing. I heard Jessica say something and they all walked into the family room where I was sitting.

"Aunt Amy!" squealed a boy and little girl

The girl jumped in my lap and hugged me.

"Hi Lily" I said and smiled. "Hi Adam"

"Hi Aunt Amy!" they both yelled

"Hi Amy" said Jessica, walking over and taking Lilly in her lap.

"Where's Cousin Carmen?" asked Adam looking around

I sucked in a breath. The kids still didn't know about Carmen. "Um, she's not here right now" I said frowning

"Oh" he said and walked over to Drew

"Kids why don't you go and play outside while your aunt Amy and Uncle Drew and us talk?" offered Daniel

"Ok" they piped up and ran out the back door

Daniel walked over and sat down next to me. "Hey Amy, how are you holding up?" he asked putting his arm around my shoulder

I sighed. "I've been better"

"Were both sorry about Carmen"

Drew walked up and sat down on the other side of me taking my hand.

"It's ok, were doing better" I said looking at Drew who gave me a small smile and started to rub my hand

"Well were glad to hear that" said Jessica who was now sitting at the kitchen table

I stood up and walked to the fridge. "Are you guy's hungry? We have some pasta salad" I said pulling out a container with some leftover pasta salad

"Sure" Daniel said smiling and walking over to sit by Jessica

I grabbed two plates and out salad on them. I got forks and handed the food to Daniel and his wife.

"Thanks" they both said and started to eat

I walked back to Drew on the couch and snuggled into his chest. He pulled me tighter against him. I felt the baby kick and then an excruciating pain in between my legs. I gave out a cry of pain and everyone turned to look at me.

"Amy, are you ok?" asked Drew who looked down at my belly

"Yeah" I panted. "Just the baby kicking" I said and closed my eyes. I felt something wet in between my legs and my eyes snapped open. "Oh shit" I mumbled and gave out another cry of pain. "Drew" I said grabbing his hand, "My water just broke" I said putting my hands in my belly

"Oh my god" he mumbled and stood up

Daniel and Jessica were on their feet now too. Drew picked me up and started walking to the garage door. "Daniel, come with us, Jessica, you stay with the kids" he yelled and kicked the door open with his foot.

"Daniel nodded and kissed Jessica on the cheek before following Drew out the door. Drew walked up to his truck and sat me in the back seat.

"It's ok Amy, calm down, deep breaths" he said rubbing my belly

"You try being in labor Drew! Never tell a girl to calm down when she's in labor!" I snapped.

A hurt expression crossed his face and he shut the door climbing in the driver's seat. I didn't mean to be mean to Drew but when I was in this much pain I really didn't care. I knew he understood. Daniel got in the passenger seat and Drew peeled to the hospital

"It's ok Amy, everything is going to be fine" Daniel said turning around in his seat

I gave out another cry of pain and put my hands on my stomach.

"Hurry!" I screamed

I saw Drew give me an I'm trying look in the rear view mirror

I shouted again. Could this car ride take any longer?!?!?!

"Come on Amy almost there" said Drew who was standing next to me holding my hand

I shouted out in agony and I heard crying. The pain in between my legs had faded down and there was pressure on my stomach. Drew left my side for a second and came back with a little boy in his arms. He had a huge smile on his face and he was holding up a bottle to the little boy in his arms. I brushed a piece of hair out of my eyes and held out my arms. Drew placed the baby in my arms and I smiled the biggest smile I had in a long time

"Hi Flynn, I'm your mommy" I cooed and looked up at Drew who was smiling rubbing my shoulder

Flynn gave a little cry and I smiled. I still missed Carmen greatly but this is the happiest I think I had been in five months. Flynn had helped me get through this and I couldn't wait to raise him just like I did for Carmen
