When Draco got out of hospital he acted as if nothing had happened. She could tell his scars hurt sometimes when he moved, but he kept up a tough facade in public. When he heard about Theodore he went ballistic. Blaise must have told them in the Slytherin common room, because she was just getting ready for bed when Draco stormed into her dorm, scaring the wits of all her dorm mates who were present. She had to admit she was slightly worried herself.
"What the hell is Malfoy doing in here?" one of the girls, Hannah had asked in shock. No one answered but it must have become clear because he stormed right over to me and grabbed my hand, then leading the both of us out through the common room and into the halls of Hogwarts, away from prying eyes and ears of the Hufflepuffs.
"Draco, what's going on?" She had asked, concerned about his behavior.
"Why didn't you tell me about Nott?" his steely gaze stared down at her, waiting for an answer.
"It wasn't important, Draco. He didn't do anything."
"Zabini said you were scared."
She let out a heavy sigh. "Of course I was scared, Draco. The guy who's assaulted me twice appeared when I wasn't expecting it, but my fear was unreasonable. Roman and Blaise were both there, although admittedly I don't really know Blaise, he stood up for my nonetheless and I left as soon as they started fighting. So please, just calm down." I placed my hand on his chest and I could feel his heart beat under my hand. His shoulders sagged slightly.
"I'm sorry. I guess I overreacted a bit." I raised an eyebrow at his statement. "Fine, I overreacted a lot. But when he said how scared you looked I just freaked out. I don't want you to be scared." His voice was quiet now, a huge contrast to when he had fist arrived.
"It's okay, Draco, hopefully he wont approach me again."
"He's been expelled, Tara."
"What?" I couldn't believe it. Theodore was expelled. I didn't have to worry whatsoever about him possibly finding me alone or anything like that. I'd be okay.
"When I went to talk to Zabini and Atrio they said Snape had heard about them fighting somehow and had come to demand answers. They told him what he had done to you and Snape went to Dumbledore. Dumbledore expelled him immediately according to Zabini."
I didn't say anything. I wasn't sure what to say. I was glad he no longer could scare me, but now both Snape and Dumbledore knew about what had happened and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about it. I didn't want people knowing and now Snape knew. Snape hated her, what if he used it against her sometime.
"Are you okay?" Draco asked, looking down at her slightly concerned. She didn't say anything.
"I'm just kind off shocked is all."
"It's a good thing he's been expelled, though, right?"
"Yeah, of course it is, it's just that now more people now, and I don't want people knowing. It's embarrassing." I lowered my head in slight shame. It really was quite embarrassing that she hadn't been able to protect herself.
"You have nothing to be embarrassed about, Tara. He deserved it and it is in no way your fault or something you should be ashamed of. Nott is the one who should be ashamed, not you."
After their talk, Tara walked back to her dorm. All the girls inside were watching her with curiosity. They never ever acknowledged her so this was a surprise.
"Are you dating Draco Malfoy?" one of them asked. It was Hannah, she really was a gossiper.
"Yes." she wasn't entirely comfortable telling them, but if they watched her during the day they would find out anyways.
