"First Moon"

"Tonight's a full moon." Melissa informed her daughter as she sat at the table, watching her eat her breakfast.

"Huh."  It wasn't much of a reply on Maxine's part, seeing as she couldn't speak properly with a mouthful of cereal and milk. Her eyes widened in surprise of her mother's statement, almost spitting her mouth's filling across the kitchen table.

"It gets crazy at the ER." There was a reason for that, but the woman who wore scrubs as her uniform was not aware of why. Maxine however, was. The thought of a full moon had her shifting in her seat, already feeling the power the bulb in the sky had over her. It was scary, and with every bone in her body regretted ever going to the school with Scott, Stiles and Theo that night. Not only was she cursed, but she had to watch Derek be ruthlessly killed by that monster. She was a witness to the unnatural, and there was nothing to do that would help her cope through it. Only another person could aid her in her time of struggle.

"Can't imagine why..." She spoke after she had ate what was in her mouth.

"We'll figure it out." Theo told her as they sat in the cafeteria together at lunch. "Is your mum out tonight?"

"Work." She answered as Melissa's honest excuse. Maxine had never been happier for her mother to have been taking extra shifts. They were having financial problems, and Max was hoping to look for a job, but considering her current situation, it could wait. This whole dilemma needed to have a handle on it; one which she could control.

"Then I'll come over and stop you from ripping someone to pieces." No matter how kind-hearted Theo's words were intended to be, it made his girlfriend cringe at the thought. There was no way in all of Beacon Hills she would allow herself to harm a fly as a human, but now as a rioting creature, she may not have a choice in the matter. It ironically made her feel powerless, despite the heightened features she had gotten.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Max could smell his fear, even if she didn't recognise it as such. The same emotion was rolling off her in waves, causing her to need an intake of oxygen to finish her reasoning. "I mean, not only would you be putting yourself at risk, but Scott and Stiles will be there too. They don't even know what I am yet. During that night here, Scott smelt the blood, but he assumed it was the janitor's. Maybe it's best to keep him thinking that until this moon is over; it may only have him more on edge."

"We'll just make it a date night inside, with movies that won't make your heart race with action. How about the Notebook?" At the mention of the movie, Max rolled her eyes.

"You know I don't like romances. They bore me to death." Her voice was blunt, seeing as she was telling him information he already had.

"Exactly! It'll bore you, and your heart rate might remain calm because you're not getting excited over what's happening on the screen." His logic wasn't bad, but she wasn't sure it would work. No matter what, you can't control a werewolf.

"That is what I'm talking about Max!" Coach praised her as she didn't miss a shot into the goal. Poor Danny missed each chance he had gotten at stopping her onslaughts, some of them pelting off of him and his bulky gear. "You might want to take some notes Greenberg."

Scott nudged his friend who watched his sister with confusion through the bars in his helmet. Stiles jumped in response, removing his eyes from the field.

"What is it Scott?" The boy with the buzzcut asked, curious on why his attention was drawn. "Is everything okay?"

"I don't know..." He genuinely didn't, and it concerned him. All of his time had been dedicated to his own problems, and he hadn't checked up on hers. As she threw the balls into the goal, he smelt anger which made him wrinkle his nose. "Max is angry."

"Her and Theo may have had a fight. You know how young love is." As soon as the comment left his lips, Stiles winced. Things had been complicated between Allison and Scott, and it'd have been best to not have brought it up. "I mean we both know your sister, when is she not angry?" He tried to save himself, frowning at Max's constant scoring.

"This is different." And it was.

Pacing, her fidgeting growing, Max waited for Theo to set up the movie. He was inserting the disk that belonged to his sister in her laptop, and each tap he gave to the keyboard made his girlfriend crinkle her fists together.

"I don't want to watch it." Theo jumped as he heard a light growl rumble from her lips.

"Then what do you want to do?" He was sat on her bed, closing her laptop and pushing it off to the side in a means to keep her calm. It wouldn't be a good idea to agitate her, it was a full moon after all. And it wasn't any full moon, it was her first.

With confidence, she came towards him, taking him by surprise as she straddled his lap. "What are you doing?" He leant back, watching her face as it smirked maleficently.

"Keeping myself distracted." In a quick motion she connected their lips, Theo giving in to her lustful spell. Both of her hands roamed in his hair, whilst his caressed her waist. They parted with a breath, making the girl whine in displeasure. "Why'd you stop?" Before he could answer her mouth worked against his neck, licking and sucking the skin. Max had never been so intense, and her behaviour only reflected the full moon's affect.

"I do need to breath you know." Theo chuckled as he tried not to moan as she feasted upon his neck. His hand waved itself through her hair, tugging her lips back to his. This was the furthest he was willing to go - kissing. Neither of them were ready for the big step, and Max was still only fifteen. This animosity that had her craving his touch was not upon her own consent, it was down to the adrenaline raking through her body.

Gently, she bit his lip, dragging it and using it as a distraction as her hands moved down to his shoulders. Theo frowned into their colliding kiss, noticing her nails had gotten longer, and sharper. He didn't point it out, knowing that she wouldn't react calmly to the statement. Instead he kept her distracted, letting her use him as a way to vent the wildness out of her system.

Maxine was sure she had never felt such an urge to be close to her boyfriend. The kisses were becoming addictive, feeding her with satisfaction. She moaned into his mouth, a growl following although she was too oblivious too notice. Once again she bit his lip, but Theo noticed that her teeth were sharper. She nipped his lip, drawing the tiniest bit of blood and creating a small cut.

Their intimate moment was interrupted as her bedroom door shot back against the wall, encouraging the lovesick teenager to pull away from each other. Maxine stood from Theo's lap, her eyes directed at Stiles.

"Scott jumped out of his -" His words were cut short as he looked at Max. Her face wasn't fully shifted for whatever reason, but canines protruded from her mouth as she growled at him and her claws hung threateningly from her fingers. And neither of those were the most absurd part. It was her eyes. Scott had golden eyes, but her pair didn't match.

Theo gulped as he saw her right iris filled with a golden yellow, and her left orbiting red. Her eyes had been closed during their make out that he hadn't seen them, and both of the boys stared at her in confusion. "How did in God's name did this happen? What does werewolf heterochromia mean?" Stiles shrieked, earning a snarl from the wolfish girl.

Theo's arm circled her waist, keeping her calm and pulling back from growling at their friend.

"That night at the school and I have no idea." There was no more that needed to be explained. They all knew the alpha had been in close contact with them. "Go get Scott, I'll deal with Max."

"I'm guessing that means sticking your tongue down her throat again or vice versa." His hands raised in surrender Max's chest thundered in aggression one last time. Walking out of the room, he prepared to find Scott. "McCalls and damned full moons." He huffed. Scott was right to have a suspicion about his sister.
