Hazel

I walk back into the trailer at seven in the morning. Greeting Toni and my snake before sitting at the table. Toni noticed my tear stained cheeks and gave me a quick hug.

"He needs a name"I say gesturing to the snake. "How about Louie" she suggests. "I love it" I say before walking outside to grab him some food.

I feed him and then get ready for school, knowing it was going to be a rough day. I asked Toni for a ride since I wasn't talking to Sweet pea after what he did.

We arrive at school and people seem confused by me now. I mean they all knew me as sweet an innocent, not a gang member.

My outfit also contradicted my jacket, so I assume that that was also a shock. I just smiled at everyone as usual.

I shut my locker to see Sweet pea standing there with an apologetic look on his face. "Hazel let me explain-" "There is nothing to explain, I need to get to class" I interrupt not wanting to hear his sorry excuse.

I sit in my class and none other than Cheryl Blossom sits next to me. "So you are a serpent now?" she asks. "Yeah, you can say what you want about them but they truly are a family" I explain to the cherry lipped girl beside me.

"Oh no I wasn't- do you want to come over to my house after school" she asks. "Uh sure but I don't have a car" I respond. "That's fine we can take mine" she smiles, turning to the teacher as class starts.

I text Toni and tell her that I won't be sitting with the group at lunch. I decided to eat my lunch alone on the bleachers. I was sketching my thoughts when I see red hair beside me.

"That's really good Hazel" Cheryl compliments. "Thank you" I blush. What the hell. She pulls her lunch out and we eat lunch together, talking about random things.

I told her about Sweet Pea and how hurt I was by what he did. She was so kind and easy to talk to.

It was after school, Cheryl and I are sitting on her bed doing our homework, even though we were too distracted by each other to get much work done. I couldn't tell you what it was about her but I was intrigued.

We were laughing about some joke she made and after calming down we were left looking in each others eyes. We both leaned in for a passionate and desperate kiss that lasted three minutes.

It felt so right but so wrong at the same time. "Cheryl" I whisper after pulling away. "I'm sorry, but Its not fair to you for me to still have feelings for Sweets and to be doing this" I grab my things and walk out of her house before she could say a word.

I walked into the trailer with a blank face whispering "I just had an intense makeout session with Cheryl Blossom" to myself. "You did what now?" I look to my right to see Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea sitting on the couch watching a movie. Oh shit.
