Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel I woke up to the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen. I smile and stretch before placing my feet on the floor.
"Good morning" I greet my boyfriend. He turns around and gives me a small smile before placing a few pieces of bacon on a plate.
We were smiling and eating when my phone lit up with Cheryl's name.
Cherry🍒 Come to my New Years Eve party at what's left of Thornhill, kisses.
"Cheryl invited us to her party tonight, we have to go or she will come to the trailer and pull us out" I inform Sweet Pea. He chuckles and nods his head.
"Oh before that we have to go by the whyrm, I left my jacket there yesterday" he says. "Okay that's fine Sweets" I reply before walking into our room.
*At the party*
"Thank you all for coming to my party this evening, Get with your plus ones, It's almost midnight" Cheryl smiles, grabbing Toni's hand to get down from the table she stood on.
"I'm so glad I met you" Sweet Pea smiles down at me. I look up at him with tears in my eyes and he wraps an arm around me. "What's wrong princess?" He asks with a worried expression.
"I just really miss my mom" I sniffle. Sweet Pea pulls me into a large hug, kissing the top of my head. "How about after this we hop on my bike and drive to Cleveland" I look up at him with a smile and wipe the tears off of my face.
The party goers start to count down to midnight. "Well it's almost midnight, I'm glad to hopefully spend the next year with you" I smile up at my boyfriend.
He wraps his arms around my waist to pull me closer to his body. "I am so in love with you Hazel" Sweet Pea smiles down at me. I stand on my toes to kiss him as the firework show begins.
We both laugh and hold each other closer to save the moment. "Let's go see your mom" he whispers in my ear.
I say goodbye to Cheryl and Toni before Sweet Pea and I hop on his motorcycle and get ready for the trip to Cleveland.
We had stopped at a small diner three miles from where my mom was buried. "Are you happy to see your mom?" Sweet Pea asks.
"Yeah I haven't visited her since I moved to Riverdale." I appreciated that he didn't mention that we were only seeing a headstone.
We finished our meal and got back on the motorcycle to the graveyard.
We walk past the other gravestones before we see my mother's name. Eliza Marie Burns. Loved Mother, Sister, and Wife. May 1978-September 2018
"T-that's a lie. She wasn't a loved wife, she was an abused wife" I say as tears flow down my face. I crouch down to get a better look at the slab of granite.
"Hey mom, I brought my boyfriend. He's really nice." I slightly smile. "I really wish you could've met him, he's the best and he really loves me." Sweet pea kneels down to my level and wraps an arm around me.
"Hi Miss. Burns, you raised an amazing girl. The love of my life." He smiles at me. I wipe my tears and kiss him with passion. "I love you Sweet Pea" "and I love you Hazel"
