Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel My eyes open slowly to try and get used to the bright lights around me. I had no idea where I was. "Hello?" I question into the void. "So nice to see you again flower" A husky voice replies.
"Why am I here?" "Well, I wanted you, and I always get what I want." The man chuckles. I cough from inhaling smoke from a fire they had burning.
"You're pal Jughead is on his way, but while we wait I suggest we have a little fun just the two of us" he smirks evilly. "I'd rather die than have you touch me" I mumbled. He comes up behind me and roughly pulls me hair.
"Speak to me like that again and that will be arranged." He scowls. I groan from the pain as he roughly pushes my head forward. I hear the engine of a motorcycle begin to get closer to where I was, I knew it was Jughead.
He steps off of the bike and drops his helmet to the ground. "I'll go over the deal with I made with your boss, give up myself today, and no bloodshed tomorrow." Jughead recites. My eyes go wide as I realize that Jughead was sacrificing himself for the entire gang.
"Apparently gettin' rid of you is more important that an all out serpent inhalation." Penny gloated. "Just wait till we get rid Hazel and her kid" Malachi chuckles deeply. Jughead's eyes go wide as they start throwing punches at him.
"No!" I beg the crowd as they were beating Jughead. Some of them came over to me and started to do the same.
I'm only able to withstand four punches before my vision goes dark and blurry.

The sound of crunching leaves gave my aching body a small amount of hope. I attempt to look up at who it was but was unable to make out a face. "Jughead" I groan before my vision goes black again.

The soft sound of a beeping machine wakes me slowly. I groan as I try to move my head. "No don't move" a deep voice coos. "Sweet Pea" I smile, gripping his hand. "How is the baby" I whisper with my eyes closed. Silence.
My eyes slowly opened, examining my lovers tear stained face. "She didn't make it." He whispers. "She?" I reply. He nods slowly and tears start to fall down my face.
He gently reaches up and wipes them away with his thumb. Sweet Pea leans over and gives my forehead a gentle kiss. I sigh as to try and gain my breathing back.
"Princess all that matters is that you are alive" he soothes. He runs his fingers through my hair slowly before speaking again. "I don't know what I would do without you Hazel." He sighs.
"I love you" I smile weakly. "I love you too princess" he replies.
