Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel
I open my eyes hoping to see Sweet Pea but I am met with an empty bed. I smile, looking down to see his shirt hanging loosely on my body.
I pull the covers off of my body and place my feet on the hardwood floor, walking out of the room and into the kitchen.
I smile and wrap my arms around his torso. He turns around and kisses my cheek. "Good morning princess" he smiles before flipping another pancake.
"Morning Sweets" I smile before stealing a pancake. He sets the plates down and we eat our breakfast while talking about school.
"I've gotta to to my trailer to change but I'll be out in ten, drive me to school?" I ask him. He nods while taking our plates and puts them in the sink.
I grab my clothes and walk to Toni and I's trailer. "Have fun last night?" she questions as I enter the trailer. "We only made out Toni, nothing more if that is what you're thinking" she smirks as a response and finishes her glass of water.
I change into a cute yellow dress with pink polka dots and slid my serpent jacket on, pulling my hair into a loose ponytail.
Sweet Pea revs his engine, signaling me that he was ready to leave. I roll my eyes while smiling and grab my school bag before exiting the trailer and hopping on his motorcycle.
We arrive at the school and I kiss Sweets before running to find Cheryl. "Hey, Cheryl" I say quietly. She turns around and sends me a sad smile looking down at the ground.
"Listen I just wanted to apologize for leading you on, it was wrong of me and I hope we can still be best friends" I plead.
She pulls me in for a hug and says "of course Hazelkins" I smile and throw my arm around her shoulder as we walk into the music room to see Veronica with the pussycats and a boy that I didn't recognize.
"Hi I'm Cheryl Blossom, Riverdale's resident 'it' girl and this is Hazel, my bestie" she introduces us. "Nick SaintClair, pleased to meet you ladies" he grabs both of our hands and kisses them.
I think nothing of it, rich people are weird. "Now that's a name I can get behind" Cheryl smiles. "You mention a party at 10? We will be there at 11" She says before walking us out and to our first class together.
I find Sweet Pea before lunch and we walk to the baseball field together, hand in hand. "So you guys wanna to the quarry after school?" Sweet Pea asks the other serpents.
"I'm gonna be with Cheryl tonight, sorry guys" I say. Toni and Fangs look at me as if I was crazy. "We're cool now, just friends. We're going to a party tonight" I explain.
"Okay princess just be safe" Sweet Pea says before kissing the top of my head. I smile and lean into his body, resting my head on his chest the entire lunch.
After school Cheryl and I were at her house getting ready to cause some chaos, her favorite activity. "Here Hazelbug, try my lipstick it would look absolutely amazing" she says before handing me her maple red lipstick.
I put the lipstick on my lips and smacked them together, also making sure there was none on my teeth. "It looks amazing Hazel, now lets get to the Five Seasons to cause some trouble" She says with a sinful grin.
I was glad to be given a chance to let loose finally. Sweet Pea is the best but even when we were just friends he was breathing down my neck. Now that we are dating I can't even imagine what he would be doing to protect me.
We walked into the hotel room and were greeted by Veronica and Archie. Cheryl and I were sitting on one of the couches listening to Nick talk about him and Veronica's adventures back in New York.
"Well I've got a little something that could spice up this party"Nick said before opening his coat sleeve to reveal some tubes of Jingle Jangle.
"Is that-" "Jingle Jangle? Yeah, Reggie hooked me up" He interrupts Cheryl. "Well, I'm in" Veronica says taking one. "We are too" Cheryl says looking at me, I smile in response. Everyone else agreed to take it. Well, everyone except Betty, none of us saw her as the drug type.
To be fair no one saw me as the drug type either, but since I was a serpent now it was only a matter of time before I dipped my toes into drugs and alcohol. It felt amazing. I had heard about JJ but the serpents didn't deal drugs.
It was like a form of Ecstasy, made us forget about all of out problems. I was able to forget about my murdered mother at the hands of my father. Cheryl and I were dancing and singing to the music that was playing before Betty got up and left without saying a word.
No one really cared because we were all high off our asses. I blacked out for a couple minutes and when I came to again I saw a body hovering over me. I couldn't make out the face above me but what I did know was that I had no clothes on.
I was completely naked and in a room I didn't know. When my vision came back I saw the face above me. Nick. I tried to get him off of me but I was too weak. At this point I knew there was a lot more that Jingle Jangle in my system. "Please stop" I beg. He simply scoffs before vanishing from my sight.
I was confused until a blanket was thrown over me and I was pulled into a familiar embrace. I begin to cry into my cousin and hold to her as tightly as possible. I felt ashamed and stupid for not being able to fight back.
"Its okay Hazel, he will be taken care of" she soothes. I cry myself into a state of sleep I have never experienced. It was terrifying. Almost like I could see my entire life in third person.
