Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel "Okay the cast list is posted for Carrie the musical" Kevin states. "Of course I'm playing the iconic role of Carrie White" Cheryl says flipping her hair.
I look for my name on the list, praying I got the role of Sue. "Understudy for Betty Cooper" I sigh. "Hey it's okay you totally deserved that role Hazel" a girl says from behind me.
"Thanks a lot..." I trail off not knowing the kind girl's name. "Oh right my name is Midge" she says putting her hand out for me to shake. I take her hand in mine with a smile.
"So you're a serpent right?" She questions curiously. "Yes I am, and so is my boyfriend, Sweet Pea." I smile as we walk to lunch.
"So if you don't mind me asking, what is it like dating a serpent?" Midge asks. I raise an eyebrow and smirk "why, are you getting tired of bulldogs?" I ask sarcastically.
"No I love Moose, I think" she mumbled. "Hey it's okay and dating a serpent is amazing, they know loyalty more than I have ever seen" I reply.
She smiles and sighs before leaving to meet with her boyfriend at lunch.
I sit down with the serpents and smile weakly. "So did you get the part?" Fangs questions. "No I'm the understudy" I sigh sadly.
"But I'm great full to be apart of the musical" I smile. "Yeah first practice is tonight so sorry Sweet Pea I cant see you at the Whyrm tonight" I explain.
"That's okay princess as long as you get to have fun" he kisses my cheek.

"Five minutes to places guys" Kevin shouts to the actors. "Thank you five" we all reply. I'm helping Betty do her hair by spraying her head with hairspray. "It's looks amazing Hazel, thank you." She smiles.
"Hey Hazel can I talk to you?" Midge asks quietly. "Yeah of course" I reply, letting Betty finish her hair.
"What's up?" I ask the visibly upset girl in front of me. "I- I'm having a fling with a serpent" she blurts out, covering her mouth after. My eyes go wide before speaking "Which one, and it's okay just tell Moose and break things off with either Moose or the serpent."
"Okay the serpent is Fa-" "Midge, you're gonna miss your cue!" Kevin says frantically. "Oh okay, sorry Hazel I'll tell you after." She says as Kevin pulls her away. I sigh before going to watch the musical from behind the scenes.
••• "She missed her cue, where is she?" I ask the other people. "Oh my god" screams begin to fill the auditorium as people realize that Midge was dead on stage. Tears fill my eyes as I look at her with knives in her body.
"Hazel!" I turn around to see Sweet Pea running towards me. "Princess are you okay?" His voice begins to echo in my head as I feel my self begun to faint.
Before I hit the ground I am caught by the strong arms of my boyfriend.
•• I woke up in my bed surrounded by Toni, Cheryl, Fangs, and Sweet Pea. "What happened, please tell me it was just a nightmare." I cry. "Hazel, Princess, I'm so sorry" Sweet Pea says soothingly.
They all get on the bed and surround me with hugs. "She didn't deserve it, she didn't" I cry into my knees for two more hours.
