Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel
"Happy Birthday Princess!" Sweet Pea says on top of me. "Sweets I just woke up" I groan with a smile. "I'm just happy! You're 17 now." He smiles down at me.
"I know it's exiting but we still have school today" I laugh pushing him off of me. "Okay get dressed quick because we have to pick up your gift at the Whyrm." He smiles. "Uh okay let me get ready" I say getting out of bed.
We arrive at the Whyrm and Sweet Pea walked in the back to grab something.
He walks back in with a baby pink serpent jacket. "No way Sweet Pea!" I hug him tightly. "Here turn around." He says holding it out. I smile and turn around, allowing him to put the jacket on me.
I turn around and wrap my arms around his neck. "Thank you so much, I love it." I smile. "I knew you would, now let's get to school" he says taking my hand in his.
We walk through the blue metal doors and right away I see Cheryl and Toni. "Happy birthday cousin" To I says giving me a hug. "Happy 17 Hazelkins" Cheryl smiles.
"Thank you guys so much, uh how about you guys and some other serpents come over tonight and we can eat pops at the trailer" I suggest. "That sounds great" Toni says as the bell rings.
"Well I have to get to class, bye guys, I love you Sweets." I say kissing his cheek.
I sit in my geography waiting for a certain blonde haired girl to sit down. "Hey, Happy birthday Hazel" she says sitting down. "Thank you Betty, do you wanna come over to Sweet Pea and I's trailer after school?" I ask her.
"Yeah that sounds great!" She smiles. "Oh, and bring Jughead" I inform her before the teacher walks in.
"Thank you guys for hanging out with me in my birthday, I guess it's good my birthday landed on a Friday" I laugh taking a sip of my drink. "Yeah no problem Hazel we all love you" Cheryl says.
I grab the remote to turn on an old show I used to watch as a kid. "What is the show called?" Jughead asks. "It's called The suite life of Zack and Cody, it's hilarious" I smile.
The rest of the night was spent eating Pops and drinking beer. It was definitely the best birthday ever.
"Bye guys it was an amazing time" I say before shutting the door to our trailer. "Ugh now it's time to clean for the rest of the night" I complain to Sweet Pea.
"Or I could give you one last birthday present" he smirks. "And what would that be?" I question innocently. He chuckles and leans down to kiss me.
I smile into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck. We pull away and he smiles down at me, biting his lip. I giggle as he picks me up and carries me to our room.
