Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel I woke up with Sweet Pea's strong arms thrown around my waist, holding my body close to his. "Sweets let me get up" I groan. He tightens his hold on my waist and burrows his face on my neck.
"Sweets" I groan. "No" he mumbles into my neck, his breath tickling my neck. I turn my body to face his and kiss him, hoping that he would let me go.
"Sweets if you don't let me go I won't feed you today" I knew that was one of his weaknesses, food. "Fine" he groans before releasing his grip on my waist.
I smile and kiss his forehead before getting up off of the bed. The kitchen was a mess considering Sweet Pea hates cleaning. I sigh and start to clean the kitchen before cooking.
A pancake hits the pan and makes a very satisfying sound. "Smells amazing Princess" Sweet Pea says from behind me. I turn around to see him only in his boxers.
"Looking good Sweets" I laugh. He rolls his eyes and grabs a cup of coffee. "So Fangs called and said that him and some of the guys were gonna hang at the whyrm today and invited us." I inform him.
"Yeah sounds great, maybe I can finally teach you to play pool" he chuckles. "You tried that the second week I was here and it didn't go well" I said, referring to the fact that I almost injured many people during my first attempt.
"Yeah, Jughead almost lost his head" He teases. "You're next if you are a bad teacher" I joke. He rolls his eyes once again before taking the plate from my hands and gently setting it on the table.
"So after breakfast do you wanna head to the bar?" He questions with a smile. "Definitely" I respond, putting a bite of pancake in my mouth.
After we had finished our food and changed our clothes, we met Fangs and some other serpents at the Whyte Whrym.
"You gonna be more careful this time Hazel?" A serpent by the name of Jake asks. I roll my eyes and take his bottle of beer, having a sip.
"A little more confident now aren't we" he chuckles. I laugh and roll my eyes, walking over to Sweet Pea.
"Hello Princess" he says giving me a peck on my red lips. "Teach me how to play Sweets" I beg, popping my bottom lip out.
"Okay fine, come on" he says guiding me with a gentle hand on my lower back. I smile at the other serpents in the bar. The night I joined the serpents, all of the other serpents saw me as 'fresh meat'.
Some of the male serpents now saw Sweet Pea as competition. I just ignored all of the comments and offers, Sweet Pea is the only person I want.
