Hazel moves to Riverdale after her mother was murdered by her father, seeking refuge with her cousin Toni Topaz. When a certain tall serpent catches Hazel's eye, she forgets everything she believes and has to face her past and future all at once.

Hazel I woke up to an empty bed and the smell of eggs through the trailer. I take the sheet to cover my naked body and walk into the kitchen to see my handsome boyfriend making breakfast.
"Good morning handsome" I smile from the doorway. He turns around with a wide smile and greets me. "Here princess eat up" he says, handing me a plate of food.
I smile as he sits down at the table to eat with me. "So last night was" he trials of waiting for me to reply. "Last night was perfect" I smile.
I walked out of the bedroom with Sweet Pea's large flannel on my body. "Are you just going to keep stealing my clothes" he chuckles. "Yes" I smile.
"You can have all of my clothes if it makes you happy" he smiles placing his hands on the sides of my waist. I lean up to give him a sweet kiss.
"As much as I love kissing you, we have to go to school" he says after pulling away. I roll my eyes and grab my school bag, tossing Sweet Pea his keys.
I walk through the blue metal doors of Riverdale high, finally happy with where I am. "I have to go talk to some serpents, I'll see you at lunch princess" Sweet Pea informs me, kissing my cheek.
I smile and walk into the student lounge, finding Toni and Cheryl. "Guys, you won't believe what happened last night" I say with a large smile.
"Oh my god, did you and Sweet Pea" Cheryl says with a smirk. "We didn't do all of it" I explain to my best friends. "So how far did you two go?" Toni questions.
I begin to explain how our night began and ended. "He made sure I felt safe and loved the entire time" I smile. "You really love him don't you" Toni smiles, taking Cheryl's hand in hers.
"Yeah I guess I do" I reply looking down. I feel a familiar body sit next to me. "Oh, Hi Reggie" I say politely, looking over at my cousin for help.
"When are you going to finally let me take you on that date" he offers. "I apologize Reggie but I'm happy with Sweet Pea" I explain hoping to make him go away.
"Sure But you would rather have a bulldog than a thug" I roll my eyes but begin to panic when he scoots closer to me. "Call the serpents thugs one more time I dare you" Toni says defensively.
"What are you going to do about it pinky" a football player says. My vision becomes blurry as Reggie puts a hand on my thigh. My breathing becomes rapid as flashbacks cloud my mind.
"Hands off Mantle" a deep voice demanded. I look up to see Sweet Pea, ready to beat Reggie to death. Sweet Pea picks Reggie up by the collar of his letterman jacket.
"You touch my girl, or any girl, like that again, and I promise you Reggie Mantle, I will kill you" Sweet Pea hissed. He threw Reggie back down onto the couch, Reggie running away in response.
Sweet Pea looks at my teary eyes and his face softens. "Princess are you okay?" He asks, pulling my body into his and placing a kiss on my forehead.
"I am now Sweets" I sigh. "My God Princess you just can't catch a break can you" he sighs out. I lightly chuckle while burying my face in his neck.
It was now lunch time and I sat next to Sweet Pea. "So what are you guys planning on dressing up as for Halloween?" Toni questions us.
"I was thinking a werewolf, you know cause fangs" Fangs responds. I giggle at the pun he made. "Sweet Pea, Hazel?" Toni asks looking at us. "I was kinda thinking angel and devil" I smirk.
"Really?" Sweet Pea says looking down at me. "Yeah is that a problem" I ask my boyfriend. "Of course not princess" he puts his finger under my chin to give me a quick kiss. I smile and blush while turning my attention back to my cousin.
Sweet Pea and I walk back into our trailer after school. "I love seeing you in my clothes" He smiles. "And I love wearing your clothes" I reply replicating his smile.
Sweet Pea kisses me and tells me he is going to take a quick shower. I nod my head and sit down at the table to do my homework. I am reminded of the purchase I made the day I left town.
I shuffle through my bags to find the box with the matching snake bracelets. I open the box and smile at the bracelets, knowing Sweet Pea will love his.
Sweet Pea steps out of the bathroom, only in his boxers and drying his hair with a towel. He smiles at the sight of me laying on our bed. "I have something for you" I tell him, hiding the box behind me.
"What is is princess?" He asks, laying down in front of me. I hand him the box and he gives me a puzzled look. "Open it" I smile.
He opens the box and his eyes light up at the sight. "Princess, I love them" he smiles. I lean over to kiss him passionately. He puts on his bracelet and puts mine on my wrist.
"Beautiful, just like you" he smiles. I blush and hide my face in my hands. He moves my hands from my face and plants kisses all over my face.
I giggle and fall back onto the bed laughing. "Baby stop" I plead. "Not until you tell me you love me" he says between kisses.
"Okay Okay, I love you Sweet Pea" I breathe out. He stops kissing my face but stays hovering over me. "Cuddle" I pout. "You are adorable Hazel" he chuckles before holding me tightly in his arms.
I felt safe in the arms of my boyfriend, the man I love.
