*Dabi POV*
As soon as I had waken up, I was ready to go. I didn't really care if people were worried about me, I just wanted to head back to the base. I still felt this weight on me, and I kept trying to pinpoint what it was exactly. Why did I feel like I owed Hawks something?
Maybe it was because he didn't have to let me into his apartment, or maybe because he didn't turn me in while I was here. I wouldn't doubt that he would have been able to pull off last night as an act to get me off guard, but I don't believe that he had any intention of hurting me.
I decided that I was going to make his something to eat as thanks. Obviously not the thanks I see as fitting, but I would figure that out later. Not wanting to be here more than I need to be, I quickly made some coffee from what he had and then took out some bread. Normally, I would just ignite the bread, but that doesn't really taste that good.
He didn't have a toaster, it just didn't exist in this house. I kept digging through drawer and cabinets looking for it. Then, I found a pan. I gave up on my hunt for the toaster and opened his fridge to look for butter.
Finally, I had the pan buttered so the bread wouldn't burn and held one hand underneath it. It took a few minutes, but I had a piece of toast on a plate. I put the coffee and toast on the counter along with a piece of paper that I had written on. I decided not to write, 'p.s, thanks for not getting me arrested,' on the bottom.
I opened the balcony door and breathed in the morning air. It was only like, three or so in the morning. I knew Hawks wasn't going to be up that early, but I wanted to leave before he woke up. I needed to be back at the bar before people actually started going out of their houses. It was less likely that someone was going to be out now.
I scaled down the building in probably ten minutes or a little bit more. From there, the walk back towards the bar would take a bit more time. Probably about half an hour or so.
Everything was fine, that was until I heard something behind me. Turning around, I saw a wall behind me that wasn't there before. Shit, that must be someone's quirk. It took me a few seconds to register that another wall had formed in front of me, but I had stopped just feet from it. I was being boxed in.
I felt my heart rate escalate slightly, but I didn't let it show on my face. I let a smile show to try and calm myself down. It's fine, you are just being cornered. As soon as the bastard shows their face, you can creamate the body before they even knew what hit em.
At this point, I was encased in a box made of concrete walls. They looked like the alleyway floor, but there wasn't a single crack in the wall. I looked down to see if it was that one hero, Cementoss. It would be evident that it was him by the fact that the floor would somewhat curve up with it, right?
However, there wasn't a slight curve from the floor to the wall, just a wall sticking straight out of the floor.
"Are you Dabi?" I heard a voice say behind me. It sounded like a girl, probably about the age of one of those UA kids. Maybe it was one of them. Maybe that's why they thought it would be a good idea to pick on someone like me. "From the league of villains?"
I turned to see that it was in fact a girl. She was shorter than I was, maybe about Toga's height. I couldn't really see her that well in the night, but I could easily tell where she was.
"Why do you need to know, kid?" I said, staring directly at her. Why was a kid her age walking around at four in the morning? And if my assumption that she does go to UA is correct, how did she get out?
"Because, I'm interested. I didn't know any other way then to seek one of you out." She said, her voice full of confidence. I held out one arm towards her threateningly.
