Chapter 47; Fire On All Sides

*Dabi POV*

"Toga!" I called out to her. I couldn't hear her, but I did see something. Blood.

"Stay here, I'll find her." I told Keigo and Shigaraki. Surprisingly, they did stay infront of the closet while I continued down the hall. By following the blood, I found something.

It was one of the hostages, ripped to shreds, with blood covering the floor and walls. I could tell who had done this, but where was she?

My question was almost imediently answered afterwards by someone randomly hugging me from behind. I turned to glance at my attacker before realizing it was Toga.

"Where were you?"

"When you left one of the hostages escaped, so I went and caught them." She said proudly. I sighed, rolling my eyes before starting to walk back to the other two.

"False alarm. Crazy was just doing her crazy shit." I said as I got back to Keigo. He nodded before Shiga started speaking.

"So, what we are going to do is destroy this building from the inside out. I trusted that you two could keep the building under control somehow, so now it's time to destroy it." I could feel a smile tug on my lips as I looked around.

"Wait, so then why did you two come here?" Toga asked, pointing to Kei and Shig. (My phone tried to auto correct Shig to Shit) I nodded, actually agreeing with one of her questions.

"Because, while Dabi takes care of the building, me you and Hawks will be helping with the police outside."

"Phoenix!" Everyone ignored Keigo's outburst.

"Not a lot of them, just enough to get out. That is when they will see the real attack. The remaining idiots might come inside if they think we've all left." Toga's face of confusion slowly turned to one of excitement.

"Fuck yes!" She giggled. Then she brought her knife back up and looked outside. "Are we going now?"

Shigaraki nodded a response before gesturing for Keigo to follow them. He did, but not before wrapping his arms around me tightly.

"I'll see you in a bit birdie." I promised, hugging him back.

"I'll see you." He said back before giving me a quick peck on the lips and leaving me alone in the building.

Now was the fun part.

I decided to start with the closet. They knew that other people were inside, so I was sure that as soon as the others were gone, they would send people into the building.

Without unlocking the door, I set a small flame infront of it. I couldn't just set the building itself on fire, I would be trapped. However, I knew where the stair case was.

As soon as I got there, I started running up the stairs while dragging my fingers against the wall. I could smell the smoke as it followed. The faster I ran, the more the fire spread.

By the time I was up on the roof, I saw the police at the bottom of the building. They weren't going inside, instead more focused on the flames that were now dancing on the walls. No one looked up at me, no, they just watched the fire. The fire that had consumed the staircase and had now spread to the rest of the building.

The fire that wouldn't let me down those same stairs.

Shit.

I followed Shigaraki and Toga down the stairs and to the front door. Shigaraki turned to me with his hand on the door.
