*Hawks POV*

As soon as I took to the sky, I felt free. My wings hurt slightly from dragging them along behind me for a few days, but after a few minutes, I felt alive. Every flap of my wings let me know I was free.

I wanted to be with Dabi, but I couldn't go back. If he wanted to see me, he knew where to find me.

As I flew, I remembered that I had left my phone at my apartment, so I stayed away from main streets so I wasn't seen. As soon as I landed on the balcony, I checked the door. Locked.

However, I had a secret key taped to the bottom of a vase. Picking it up, I checked the bottom just feeling the tape loosely attached. Slowly panicking, I started turning over the other plants to try and find it.

Finally, I found it on the ground under a different plant entirely. With a huff, I picked it up and slipped it into my door lock and opened it, putting the key back under the vase.

The lights were off and some of my stuff was turned over. Cabinets were open and drawers were pulled out. Without looking over twice, I went to my room.

Again, drawers pulled out and my box-o-shit(tm) was flipped over with it's contents spilled out. My clothes were thrown across the floor. However, my phone was still sitting under my dresser. Why did I put my phone under my dresser? Because I'm paranoid that people will break into my apartment, and I was right.

I unlocked my phone and saw that from the last few days, I saw so many texts and calls from Rumi and Endeavor. Most of them were along the lines of 'Where are you' and 'Hawks, get your ass outside'. I guess I didn't think about people worrying about me not being around.

With a huff, I picked up the remote. Turning on the TV, I flipped to the news for background noise while I fixed my room up. Placing clothes back in the drawers, I listened to the news.

There were all sorts of different stories about minor villain attacks or some sort of charity event. However, I wasn't listening completely until a certain one caught my attention.

"No new news today about the mysterious disappearance of Japan's number 2 hero, Hawks. He went missing last Saturday, marking today as a week since his disappearance. Police looked through his house did not find any clues hinting at the cause, but many theories have popped up saying that the group known as the League of Villains is behind this. Whatever the case, we hope that he will soon be seen in the sky once again."

Well, I guess I should call Rumi. Let her know that I am, in fact, not dead.

Picking up my phone, I went to Rumi's contact and called it. Not five seconds later, she answered.

"Hawks, is that you?"

"Yeah, how have you been?"

"Where the fuck have you been? Your face has been all over the news all week! Do you know how stressed I am because of this?"

"Aren't I-"

"I'm not done. Not only that, but you didn't call or text! How would I have known you were alive, huh?" A few seconds of silence.

"You done!"

"Yeah."

"Look, so I will explain everything, but I would really like to do it in person, maybe at lunch or something? I need to shower, get dressed, so maybe at like, three or something?" I heard her huff from the other side of the line.

"Fine, where do you want to go?"

"KFC?"

"I'll pick some up and bring it to yours at three. I don't want people to go crazy because you were seen in public." Then she just hung up. With a sigh, I got a towel and headed into the bathroom.

While in the shower, I spent a few minutes letting the water run down my back without doing anything. I was going to hurry, but I had a good but of time before Rumi would be here.

I hate to admit it, but while I was in the shower I had some, unclean, thoughts. Like what if Dabi pushed me up against the wall again, but this time he, no. Stop it, those aren't good thoughts. No, those are healthy thoughts. Whatever.

Getting out of the shower, I dried my hair and dried my wings the best I could before wrapping the towel around my waist. For the first time that week, I felt clean. Going to the mirror, I started to comb through my hair, examining myself in the mirror.

The cut on my face was almost gone, but still there. My eyeliner was gone, but my eyes still looked very much Hawk-like.

I flapped my wings slightly to get as much water off of them as I could. I then went to the door that connected to my room to grab clothes. When I opened the door however, I was met with a sight I wasn't really ready for.

Dabi was sitting on my bed, remote in hand, flipping through channels on the TV. When I opened the door, he looked over at me, studying me. I wrapped the towel tighter around me before narrowing my eyes at him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked sharply. He still wasn't looking at me in the eye when he answered, he was still staring at my chest.

"I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out or something, but now I'm getting different ideas." He muttered before looking back at my face. I could feel myself blush lightly and looked away at the closet.

"I would love to hang out, but not right now." I breathed out, slowly walking out of the bathroom and to my closet. I pulled out some clothes before sneaking back to the bathroom.

"Well fuck what are you doing today?" He asked while I was changing. I looked at the time when I realized it was nearly three. Rumi was never late.

"My friend is coming over because she hasn't seen me in a week. How did you get into my apartment?" He snickered in response.

"You hide your key under a plant. That's the most stereotypical hiding spot for keys." I opened the bathroom door and saw that he was now sprawled out on my bed with the remote still in his hand.

I walked up to him, snatching the remote from his hand and placing it on the bedside table. Dabi looked betrayed for a split second before he grabbed my wrists and pulled me down onto the bed on top of him.

"What are you doing? My friend is getting here in a few minutes." I whispered to him. I was somewhat sitting on his lower stomach with my hands on either side of his head. I couldn't move because he was still holding my wrists in place.

"And I'll stop messing with you before she comes in." He mocked before letting out a husky laugh. I liked his laugh and his smile, I wanted him to smile forever.

My thoughts were cut off short when I heard the bedroom door handle move.
