The last four years had been like a countdown to Dabi. It had been four years since that fire that took Touya Todoroki's life, three since the rise of Dabi and his alleyway murders, two since he started hanging out with a girl that's just a little bit on the crazy side, and one since he had joined the League of Villains.

Throughout the years, he stopped going up the fire escapes to the storage unit and was more on the run. The only person he could talk to was the girl that he kinda saw like a little sister. He had found her late one night after hearing screams. Being the sadistic person he was, he went to find Himiko Toga, a thirteen year old girl, going vampire on this guy. He was still awake, and screaming.

Dabi made quick work of him not wanting to be found. If he was found, he was dead. However, Toga took this as a sign of protection and practically just followed Dabi around like a puppy. Soon, the fire user just accepted it.

Now that they were in the league, Dabi didn't have to hang out with her as much as he did. He wouldn't say it out loud to anyone, but he loved the girl as if she was his sister.

Since they had been living together for two years, Toga was used to waking up in the middle of the night to find Dabi not there. Every time she did, she would find him somewhere scratching and burning at the skin of his collarbone. But just because she was used to it doesn't mean that it didn't still scare her.

Over time, Toga was the only one Dabi trusted almost completely. He never told her many things about himself though. He would never say that his real name was that of a boy who had died years ago, or that his father was the No° 2 hero. He would never tell her what the words on his collarbone said, and Toga knew better than to pry.

And now, two years since Toga and Dabi had met, Toga woke once more to hear a quiet plea for help. One that she knew wasn't supposed to be heard, yet she got up and left her room.

Shigaraki had given Dabi and Toga rooms for when they stayed at the main base. This made it so that when Toga opened the door she was right beside Dabi's room. She liked that she was right here, she felt safest with him.

She grabbed the door handle and pushed down, but the door didn't open. Without missing a beat, she took out a bobbie pin and unlocked the door without a single problem. This time when she opened the door, she wasn't ready for what she saw.

Sitting in the middle of the room was Dabi, but instead of the normal self mutilation, he was completely on fire from his stomach up. Toga was surprised that she hadn't smelt smoke, but knowing Dabi, he probably had his window open. A quick glance at the wall confirmed her suspicions, and she sat down infront of him after closing the door and locking it.

"Hey, shh, you're okay. Look at me." Toga said reassuringly. Dabi looked up at her with fear in his eyes. He was still up in flames, but they quickly calmed down when he saw that Toga had come into the room. Now, he let himself be put out as he pulled his knees up to his chest ashamed.

"I'm sorry for waking you." He whispered quietly, and Toga wrapped her arms around his shoulders into a one sided hug.

"No, it's alright. Come here." She stood up and lead him to the door. They made their way to the bathroom and locked themselves inside. Like any time Toga woke up like this, she pulled out bandages and more items that Dabi believed were unnecessary.

Without really looking at it, Toga cleaned the scratching and burned tissue at the base of his neck. She was fine with open wounds, she loved looking at them, but she wanted to respect the fact that Dabi didn't like anyone looking at the words on his shoulder.

"You can look at me, you probably can't see them yet anyway." The man mumbled watching Toga try and help him without looking directly at him. The said blonde then looked at her friends collarbone and took in everything about the wound.

Despite the fact that the entire neck portion of skin was burned and stapled back together, the skin on his collarbone looked rather intact, or that it was. Right now, the skin was split, scratched to high hell and mangled. He was right, she couldn't see his words right when she looked at it. All she could see was a resemblance of a black letter here and there. The area around it was bad too. The closer to the center, the worst the burns were, nearly black and somewhat curled away from the skin. Some of the staples that had kept that part of him intact had ripped out, probably while scratching.

Toga sighed and continued to clean the wound until most of the blood was cleaned from around it. Then, she asked him to lift his arm while she wrapped it, careful to keep it out of sight.

The entire time Dabi had just been staring off into space waiting for the inevitable lecture about soulmates. However, Toga just gave him another hug.

"I'm sorry Toga, I'll try to stop." I whispered. She shook her head before letting go and looking at me.

"I'm not stupid. You say that every time. You haven't stopped ever since I met you, you're not going to stop now, are you?" She asked him with a hurt look. It was true, every time Toga would stop him, Dabi would promise that he would stop, and up until now Toga somewhat believed him.

"I'll kill them." Was all he said in response while staring down at the floor. "As soon as I find them, I'll light their ass up and they won't find the body." Toga was caught off guard. She never knew anyone who hated soulmates enough that he wanted to kill his own.

However, she knew that one way or another, Dabi's soulmate was going to dead as soon as he found them. Dabi said it himself.
