You got up that morning, and something was. Off. With everything happening around the academy, you weren't surprised to feel yourself feeling a little different, but it was something you couldn't put your finger on. You were a teacher at the school, and one of the only ones who had lived/stayed around long enough to see what was going on and watch the kids. Granted, you were on an expedition when something went wrong. You came back to your coven, and their powers were waning, and something had obviously happened while you were gone.
You didn't ask what it was, but you did notice that Nick wasn't there, and Sabrina was always off and on when she showed up. Her aunts were taking over the school you understood since Faustus was in some way indisposed and unable.
Many things had been wrong while you were away.
There was only one true problem that you had noticed. You didn't feel your powers leaving you at all. In fact, you thought they had almost gotten stronger. You couldn't bring it up with Hilda or Zelda, worried about the repercussions. They may question your loyalty to the coven and the dark lord, which had never faltered before. In fact, you had found out that apparently, they weren't worshipping the dark lord now or something. That was something you had yet to give up, at least not without proper explanation.
You walked swiftly down to the dungeon with the thought of simply reading in one of the long-forgotten cells. They were only ever used when a new student came, and Prudence wanted to be particularly mean to someone. You usually had them all to yourself.
You turned the knob to one of the doors and was surprised to find it locked. They were never locked. You twisted it harder and then turned to find the key on the wall, opening the door quickly, curiosity hitting you harder than it had in a long time.
You were surprised to find Faustus sitting on the floor, chained up. You gasped, dropping your book to the ground.
"I knew you would come," he said, but it wasn't his voice. There was a quick shift, and another man showed in front of you. He was properly handsome, and it took you a moment to adjust to the things that had just happened.
"Excuse me?" you asked, finding your voice. The man smiled softly at you and looked at the chains. You took note of the salt circle and what looked to be a pretty powerful spell keeping this man in. Not to mention, he seemed to be sharing a body with Faustus.
"I knew you would find me. Even, after all, they did to that head of yours. Nothing can keep me from you. I even made sure to keep your powers so you would feel different," he told you happily like his words would mean anything to you. You did think briefly about the power part and let the words process as you stared at the stranger, trying to find something you recognized in his face.
"I don't know who you are," you whispered, but something was wrong. The part about your powers was nagging at you, and you backtracked to try and remember where the covens got their powers. Then it dawned on you, and the realization must have hit your face.
"Yes, you do." His voice was deathly careful and dangerous.
"Lucifer? Why the heaven do they have Lucifer locked up in the dungeon!?" you asked quickly, and he shrugged, which raised the chains a little bit.
"Come on Y/N, help me out of these," he said, but you stood still. Your mind ached.
"How do you know my name?" You expected him to say it was just a Satan thing, but you thought it might not be. You weren't sure what it was, but something was tugging at your memory. He let out a sigh.
"They really did a number on you then. You really don't remember me."
"Should I?" You knelt down to meet his eye level, and he raised his chin.
"Yes, you should. I'll help with that when you.." He trailed off and shook the chains again. You weren't sure why, but you moved to get them off immediately, and he rubbed his wrists, giving you a sinister smile. He stepped forward and surprised you with a kiss that really came out of the left field for you. You were going to pull away and startled yourself when you didn't. He moved away first.
Suddenly everything came back at once, and you fell forward. He caught you easily because you were both still kneeling on the hard floor of the dungeon. You shut your eyes tightly and held onto his shoulder before snapping them open again, your brain searing.
You could see a ball, Sabrina in gold clothing, Nick and Lucifer, kisses in the dark, hell. Hell stood out, and a feeling that didn't feel foreign pushed onto you. Suddenly, Satan's hands felt more comfortable.
"The coven wiped my memory," you breathed. He nodded. You were surprised to find he was careful with you, letting it set in.
"They knew I wouldn't take your power as I have taken theirs. They thought you would be an asset in the fight against their enemies and eventually me. Little did they know.." he said with a playful smile.
The feel of Hell's throne under your fingers was astounding, and you stood up shakily, helping him up as well.
"Sabrina at least must have known that wiping my memory would only be bad for them in the long run." He shrugged and went for the doorknob.
"You can test them yourself later. First, I would love to have my own body again, and I think Sabrina has to much on her hands to notice I'm gone for a while." You nodded and followed him, picking up your book on the way out.
"I'll have to act like I don't remember you," you reasoned, and he nodded, shrugging.
"Only for a minute while I get myself back to normal. And then it should prove obvious-" his hand brushed your chin, steadying yo
