Liam's POV:
Past.
When I walk into class on Wendsday I smile when I see Cara. Today she's seated closer to the front. I make my way over to her and clear my throat. She looks up from her book.
"Mind if I sit here?" I ask. She smiles and shakes her head. I take my seat and she goes back to her book. "What are you reading?"
"A book about World War II," she answers not looking up. I laugh.
"You do realize this isn't a history class," I tell her. This earns me a look which is shortly replaced with a smile.
"I'm well aware. But I still like to read them," she says, closing the book.
"Why?" I ask. She bites her lip and shrugs.
"I don't know really. I guess I've always been a history fanatic," she explains. "I've always been fasinated with it," she glances at me and then looks down. "Yeah. I know I'm weird."
"No. I don't think you're weird. I actually think that's really cool," I say with a smile. She laughs.
"Well thanks. You'd actually be a first," she says quietly. I watch her as she avoids looking at me. It was then that I decided she was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. The way she hung her hair in front of her face and blushed when she was embarrased.
"Would you like to hang out with me today?" I ask. She looks up, surprised by the question.
"Hang out?" she asks. I nod.
"With me. We could go grab a bite to eat or maybe even study together," I suggest. A smile slowly speads on her face and she nods slowly.
"Sure. I'd like that," she says.
* * *
We had decided to meet after both our classes were done for the day. So roughly around five. I wait for her outside her last class. When I see her I smile. She lifts her head from staring at the ground and her eyes meet mine. She walks quickly over to me. Without thinking I give her a hug. I pull away quickly and look away.
"Uh..."I say and she smiles.
"Hi," she says. I return her smile.
"Hi," I say back. "So what shall we do? The sky is the limit," I say. We start walking away from the building and she laughs.
"So then lets go skydiving," she jokes. I chuckle and shake my head.
"Okay. Maybe the sky isn't the limit," she lets out another laugh and I grin at her. Her laugh was cute. As much as I wanted to tell her I was going to play it cool.
"Then how about we just get some coffee," she suggests.
"I'm not sure I can trust you around coffee," I say and shakes my head.
"Right. I'm still sorry about that," she says. I just laugh off her apology.
"I'm just messing with you. I told you it was fine," I tell her. She nods and looks at her feet. About twenty minutes later we're at a coffee shop near campus. I just got done telling a stupid joke and she is laughing so hard that coffee starts to come out her nose. I quickly grab napkins and she covers her face.
"Are you okay?" I ask. She nods and wipes her nose.
"Yeah. Sorry. I probably look like a complete fool right now," her laughter dies down and she wipes her face. I shake my head.
"You don't," I say and she glances up at me. She bites her lip and sighs.
"Why are you so nice?" she asks quietly. She looks at me waiting for my answer. I shrug.
