Liam's POV:
Past.
"Stop," Cara laughed and swatted my hand away. I chuckle and grab her waist again. She jumps and turns to me with narrow eyes but her face is amused. "I said stop Liam," she tries to scold me but a smile is creeping on her face.
"Make me," I challenge her. I grab her arm and pull her to me. She slams into my chest and laughs. I shush her and she closes her mouth. I lean in and kiss her slowly. She immediatley responds and wraps her arms around my neck. And like always she pulls away after a few seconds.
"You don't have to be shy Cara. I'm don't bite," I joke but then growl playfully. She smiles and a blush reddens her cheeks.
"I know. I'm just not used to this," she explains.
"Used to what? Kissing?" I ask. She nods. "What do you mean?"
"Nothing," she says and looks away. I turn her face back to me and she keeps her eyes trained on the floor.
"Hey. Talk to me," I tell her. She frowns and looks at me.
"You're going to laugh," she accuses. I shake my head and assure her that I won't. She bites her lip and sighs. "Well I never really kissed anyone before."
"Like ever?" I ask. She glances at me and nods. "Why would I laugh at that?" She shrugs.
"Because it's embarrassing," she mumbles. I smile.
"No it's not," I say. She pulls away and hums.
"Well I think it is," she says. It had been about two weeks since our kiss inside the heart. And since then I'd been kissing her as much as possible because the feel of her lips was intoxicating. It was like a drug that I couldn't get enough of. I knew that after that kiss this would turn into something, I just wasn't sure what that something was yet.
She reaches up and grabs a book off the shelf. I wrap my arms around her and press a kiss to her cheek. She giggles but pulls away.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," she says.
"What is this? Like between us?" I ask. She pulls away again and faces me.
"What do you want it to be?" I leans against the bookshelf.
"Honestly, I want you to be my girlfriend. But I get that you're not used to it all so we can take it slow if you want," I explain. She smiles. She suddenlly walks away and I follow her. She sits down at the table and take the seat across from her. "So I was thinking that..." I start but am interrupted by someone calling my name.
"There you are!" I turn to find Zayn walking towards me. "I've texted you like a million times why haven't you answered?" I roll my eyes.
"Well I'm a little busy. Why what do you want?" I ask.
"Busy doing what?" he ignores my question and I sigh. I glance at Cara and he follows my gaze. His eyes widen and he stands up straighter. He turns towards her and smiles. "Hi. You must be Cara. I'm Liam's roommate and best friend, Zayn." He holds a hand out to her and she smiles and shakes his hand.
"Nice to meet you Zayn," she says politely.
"I've heard a lot about you. Liam won't shut up about you. It's always Cara this and Cara that. I actually think it's pretty cute," Zayn tells her and I have the overwhelming urge to strangle him. Cara grins and looks at me.
"Oh really?" she asks keeping her eyes on my reddening face. I immediately shake my head.
"No. I don't talk about you that much," I say and Zayn laughs.
"Oh don't believe him he's lying," he tells her and I glare at him. Cara rests her head on her palm and looks at Zayn.
"Zayn don't you have somewhere to be?" I ask through my teeth. He turns to me and shakes his head.
"No. I don't. In fact, I think I'll stay and chat a bit. If you guys don't mind," he says smiling smugly at me.
"I don't. Have a seat," Cara says. She turns to him as he sits down next to me and I glare at him. He smiles a cheesy smile at me and turns back to her. "So why have I never heard anything about you before?"she asks giving me a look. I open my mouth to answer but Zayn speaks before me.
"Oh. That's probably because he's scared that you'll like me more and leave him," he says. She bites her lip to keep from laughing.
"That's not true," I say loudly. The lady behind the desk shoots me a look and I mouth a quick sorry.
"Yeah okay," Zayn laughs. I shake my head and roll my eyes in annoyance.
"So. How do you like Mr. Payne, Cara," Harry asks. She looks me over and smiles.
"I really like him actually," She keeps her eyes on me as she says it. I return her smile and wink at her.
"Well that's good. I've known Liam a while now and I gotta say he's a real catch," Zayn jokes.
"I bet he is," she mumbles but Zayn doesn't hear. Zayn's phone starts ringing and he scrambles to get it out of his pocket. The librarian glares in our direction and he finally shuts off the ringer.
"I'll be back. Gotta take this," He says and rushes into the shelves of books. Cara sighs and looks down at her book. I nudge her with my pen and she looks up.
"Did you really mean that?" I ask quietly. She puts on a smug smile and shrugs. She focuses back on her book. "So I was wondering..." I start but of course Zayn returns at that moment.
"Sorry guys I have to go but it was nice to finally meet you Cara. And Liam I'll see you later," he says and leaves.
"He seems nice," she says once he's gone.
"He can be," I say. She smiles and goes back to her book. "So what would you say if I were to maybe ask you to dinner on Saturday?"
"Maybe ask me to dinner?" she questions with amusement.
"Okay if I was to ask you to dinner," I clarify. She hums and tilts her head to the side.
"Well. I would maybe say yes," she says.
"Maybe?"
"Fine. I would say yes," she laughs.
"So it's a date?" She nods. It gets quiet after that. The rest of the time in the library is spent actually studying. I walk her to her apartment afterwards and kiss her on the cheek.
"Goodnight," I tell her.
"Goodnight. Oh and thanks for finally asking me," she says and disappears into her apartment. I already feel this turning into something serious.
A/N: Okay so does anybody actually like this? Please leave me feedback. I can take it. I'm a big girl. Just something so I know if I should continue (except for you Cara. You always leave me feedback which I appreciate). Anyway this was a filler chapter so next one will be much better.
