Arolyn's POV:

Present.

"When is he going to wake up?" Louis whined from the chair across the room. I roll my eyes.

"I don't know. The doctor said soon hopefully," I say. He groans and sits back.

"Well he needs to hurry up because when he wakes up I'm going to..." he starts but I snap.

"Louis just shut up," I tell him harshly. He stops talking and glares at me.

"You shut up. You're the one that came to my house complaining that your husband was being a dick. So I'm gonna take care of my baby sister I don't care if he got in an accident or not," he says. I don't say anything. It was the heat of the moment and I was mad because he yelled at me.

"I don't need you to take care of me Lou," I say quietly. He stands up and laughs humorlessly.

"Then don't run to me every time you two fight," he says and stalks out of the room. I sigh and turn back to Liam. I take his hand and bite my lip. I was still having mixed feelings about him right now. I know I shouldn't have told him that I hate him but he should have never snapped on me. I didn't hate him. I just couldn't stand to be around him sometimes.

"Liam. I'm sorry," I mumble. He groans and my head snaps up. "Liam?" He removes his hand from mine and I jump out of my seat. "Liam. Can you hear me?" He groans again and I reach over him to press the nurse button on the bed. He opens his eyes and I place my hands on either side of his face.

"Liam. Honey?"

"Where am I?" he says groggily. I kiss his cheeks and nose and lips.

"Oh. Honey. I'm so happy you're awake. Are you okay? I'm sorry," I say my words tumbling together in a jumbled mess.

"Arolyn? Where am I? What happened?" he asks. He's slowly becoming more and more aware of his surroundings. I'm about to answer him but the door opens and the doctor walks in.

"Okay. What seems to be the problem?" she asks. She pauses and looks at us for a second before clearing her throat and looking at me. One of the machines starts beeping rapidly and I look at Liam in worry. He looks as if he's seen a ghost.

"Liam?" I look between him and the doctor. She immediately moves to the machine and my eyebrows furrow. His breathing picks up and he starts thrashing around.

"I'm dead. I'm dead," he begins shouting.

"What's wrong with him?" I ask the doctor.

"I think he's having a panic attack. I need you to step outside while I examine him," she says and I nod. I start towards the door but not before turning and looking at him. The doctor places her hands on his attempts to hold them down. I shut the door and go to find Louis.

Something was awfully suspisious about that doctor. And I was going to find out what.

Cara's POV:

"Niall?" I call to him. He's rushing down the hall but stops and turns to me.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" I ask.

"The nurse button in room 227 just went off," he says. My eyes widen and I blink rapidly.

"227?" I ask. He nods. "Don't worry. I'll take care of it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Besides I think Dr. Styles needed you for something," I tell him. He gives me one last questioning look before nodding and walking in the direction I came from. I rush towards Liam's room and stop just outside the door.
