Sorry, this one isn't the best. I'm just trying to get back in the swing of writing again... And sorry this was late. Again, trying to get back into the swing of things.

I'm glad to be back though!

Lance woke up suddenly the next morning, bile rising in the back of his throat. The young Paladin raced out of his room, reaching the bathroom, and toilet, a few doors down just in time as he started throwing up everything he'd eaten.

Once his stomach decided it was done trying to get everything out of its system, the Paladin groaned resting against the wall, a hand resting on his stomach.
"Grasias bebé," he grumbled sarcastically, rubbing his thumb in a circle around his belly button.

A quite knock came from the door followed by Hunk's concerned voice, "You okay buddy?"
"I'm fine Hunk," Lance called, "just morning sickness."

The doors slid open revealing Hunk and Pidge, who wore worried faces.
"You sure?" Hunk asked as the walked over.
"Yeah, this is perfectly normal, I'd be worrying if I wasn't having it," he smiled.
Hunk relaxed a bit sitting next to him, Pidge sitting in front of them.

"Actually, morning sickness isn't very common with aliens," Pidge said, "Some types of aliens can't even throw up."
Lance wrinkled his nose up at that, "I could have gone my entire life without knowing that."
Pidge shrugged, "Just try to help," she smiled sheepishly, needlessly adjusting her glasses.

"And thanks for that, but let's keep the vomit facts to ourselves, kay?" Lance smiled.
"No promises," she joked.
The trio shared a little laugh.

"You wanna go get breakfast?" Hunk asked.
"I'll probably just throw it up but," Lance's stomach growled loudly, "what they said," Lance nodded, gesturing to his stomach.
"You still don't know what you want?" Pidge asked.
"They'll be what they'll be, and I couldn't ask for more," Lance smiled as they all got up.

The Yellow and Green Paladin standing on either side of Lance making small talk as they walked to the kitchen. Taking Lance back to the Garrison and the few times they'd all just hung out.

Happy little jokes and gentle pokes at one another ringing down the hall. One of the few signs of actual happiness in the castle.

The three teens settled down in the kitchen. Lance taking a seat on one of the counters as Hunk started pulling out stuff to make a meal he was pretty sure Lance wouldn't throw up. Pidge chatting with Lance asking about the Blades' tech, and what it had been like training with them. Hunk listened in adding in the occasional comment and question as he cooked. Lance answering, leaning back on one arm his other hand resting on his stomach, thumb rubbing small circles in the middle. A tiny habit that had started to develop with the Paladin.

Just as the meal was finishing Allura walked in. The bubbly atmosphere making a smile pull at her lips. Watching Pidge and Hunk scold Lance about letting his food cool. Her smile grew, a protective feeling taking a hold of her heart watching the teens.

A soft hand rested on her shoulder. Pulling her attention from the teens.

Coran smiled down at her. A silent understanding pasting between them before Coran jumped in with the Paladins. A fatherly hand resting on Lance's shoulder, as he took the Cuban's side.

Allura shook her head at them, telling Lance and Coran to wait for their breakfast. Earning a few whines from the Blue Paladin. Who in turn got a few snappy protests from his friends.

After the food cooled everyone got their servings, Lance's being more than the others from throwing up everything an hour and a half prior. A fact that worried Allura and Coran greatly, even after being assured it was completely normal for humans by the Paladins. Exspesally Lance at the mention of making sure he was fine with a Healing Pod.

The Alteans eventually were easied off the matter which lead to a long list of things that were normal in human pregnancy, cravings, lack of energy, mood swings, all that "fun" stuff Lance had to look forward to with the baby.

Needless to say, both were more scared and worried about the Paladin than ever. It helped somewhat to know this was what was supposed to happen, but that didn't erase all their fear.

Knowing the side effects of Lance's pregnancy, or at least knowing her own reaction, started a different series of questions flowing through Allura's head. Most surrounding how she saw the team.

Perhaps they were just a little more than her Paladins. More than her brothers and sister in arms.

Perhaps, this small group of mismatched humans had become her new family.

A smile graced her lips at the thought. It vanished just as soon as it appeared.

Why had it taken this long for her to realize that? She looked at the three remaining Paladins, a fierce determination filling her heart. If anyone dared try and hurt one of them. Well, they have one pissed Altean Princess to get passed first.

A small purr, spurred into existence in the back of her mind. Similar to when the mice would talk to her. She smiled at it, feeling the warm motherly embrace of the Lion.
