... absolutely flabber-whelmed...

Dear D,
I'm writing this at 5:30pm cause why? I'm totally excited! I had all the fun in the world. Remember Attiyah invited me to a book hangout with her friends? I just got back and it was marvelous! I'm absolutely flabber-whelmed.

I had a class from 10-11am, and the Meetup was slated for 9, so I got there late, they were already there. That, combined with the fact that they knew one another before, made me feel out of place, but it was just for a second! Because when Attiyah saw me, she came and gave me a bbiiigggg hug, and I felt at peace!

She introduced me to all of her friends who were present, all wasn't so many anyways, they were just about 4 other people excluding her - Adeel, Derinsinuola, Taofeeqah and Yusuff. They were SO nice to me! And they DO love books! I mean, why else would they have been there? Adeel wasn't really listening to us, or involved in our conversation though, I'm not sure he is interested in our kind of books.

And can you imagine? Derinsola loves Sidney Sheldon too! We spoke about almost all his books, and I was just so glad! We had soooooo much fun. We talked about books first, generally, then authors (especially Sidney Sheldon cause I just won't keep quiet about him), then we tried to do some basic introductions. Let's see if I can use a line to introduce each of them.

Adeel - 600level, MBBS, Tall and glasses.
Derinsinuola - MBBS too, Chocolate and fashion designer!
Taofeeqah - Law, chocolate and short!
Yusuff - 500level, Electrical Engineering and so much hair!

As for Attiyah, she's actually in pharmacy, and she is NOT in any way like me, even though we have the same name. She doesn't even talk! I can't believe it. I can count the number of words that she said during the whole hangout. And I am the new one! She was always listening, and smiling. Oh, her smile reminds me of Muhammad, he smiles a lot too, and he closes his eyes when he does! Haha, and he has a crooked tooth, because why? Story for another day.

Anyway, she was really warm and welcoming towards me, but I can already see that she's not a woman of many words, and she acts so shy! Argh, sometimes it was annoying, but it was adorable too. Sha, I had fun ni, basically. Oh, and we had lunch together too, ;)! We had some good meal and ICE CREAM!

Oh and Muhammad was asking me nonsensical questions about the hangout. Like how many people were there, was Attiyah seeing me again and all sorts, I almost got pissed,why are you asking me smh? But, he ended up coming to pick me, and he drove me to the front of my hostel. And what did he do all along? Ask me why I'm so obsessed about books. I still don't get it, he already reads some books, how could he still be asking?

Oh, and I started the yoga, meditation, personal development stuff, yesterday
and I'm trying to keep up!
