Sunday, 12th November, 2017.Dear D,
It seems I have to go back to writing everyday, and I just might have to increase the number of pages I use to one and half. I'm very forgetful, and sometimes, I might forget to add important stuff if I have to fill in once in two days. And the truth, in reality, is that I like journalling so much, I don't want to have to wait two days. I won't tell Muhammad though, it'd be our little secret!I'm going to continue from where I stopped. When I asked Muhammad if he likes Ruqayyah, he first stared at me for a while, and then he narrowed his eyes and asked me why I was asking, I told him I was just curious, and used an excuse that we were the three people in her room, and I could see that he wanted to comfort her.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, he said he wanted to comfort her because she's like a sister to him. A sister? A sister! But he doesn't like her, and Muhammad, who is almost never serious, had a very serious look on his face when he said it. I asked him if he would consider her for marriage, and said I just wanted to now, and he said maybe if I had asked him some months ago, he'd say yes cause she's a really good person, and she won't give him trouble, but he can't say the same now, and guess why, because he likes someone!
I was doing a mental dance! Muhammad actually liked someone! I felt bad for my cousin, and stopped feeling so excited. But Ruqayyah is Ruqayyah, she's the strongest person I know. I know she's just going to shrug it off, and say "Allahu'alam", if I tell her that he likes someone else. But Muhammad likes someone!
Now, that someone, I don't know. I've been bugging him to tell me, or just give me hints, but he wouldn't even do as much as tell me the first letter of her name! I intend to get it out of him though! He got away with it, saying that he wasn't interfering in myself and Adeel's relationship, and I ended up trying to convince him that it wasn't the same thing, as Adeel and I are just friends, until we actually got to the mosque.
After prayer, I packed my things for the weekend and Muhammad drove me to my cousin's place. It was Ruqayyah who came to open the door, and I paid more attention to how she reacted to his presence, and yes, she was looking away again, and wouldn't stop fidgeting. Oh, how could I have missed all the signs? I decided not to tell her though.
I was at their house yesterday, and I got back to school this afternoon cause I had an assignment to complete. Their mum isn't still talking to anyone, but Fareedah is much better, I think she's coming to accept the fact. Ruqayyah said she's going to school next week Friday, and she hopes that her mum is so much better by then, cause that's why she's waiting.
I tried to be there for them at home. I kept their company and tried my possible best to keep their minds off it, and Alhamdulilah, at some point, we had a conversation and we were laughing
And no, ;), I'm not missing out on studying, I studied both on Friday night and Saturday night.
About Adeel. Adeel hasn't called me since that day we saw each other, and all he had to say was that he saw me on Jumu'ah, and Jumu'ah Mubarak, and "I'm just checking up", through a text! Through a text! I just sent a reply that said "I'm fine, thanks" because I didn't even want to have to deal with exchanging words.
Hm.
Okay that's all for now.Oh that's not all. Guess whose story was in the top 5 and is getting published in the magazine?
Yep yep, me!
Alhamdulilah.Yours,
A.
