Many mistakes

You were wandering around taking out the guards periodically as you could. You made it to the front of the castle to find Meliodas and ban, you tucked yourself behind a house looking around, you found a downed Diane. You hoped up onto the roof and examined each situation more in depth.

"Hey there... You seem to be in a dilemma.... Too weak." Estarossa laughed. "I could help you with that."

You paused. "No thank you.. I've got this." You said twirling your double sided blade in the air it charged up energy. You bit your lip, it had been a long time since you had done this technique. You finished twirling it and you jumped off the roof stabbing it into the ground creating a large yellow see through healing bubble. You watched as a demon person charged you. You tripped it so it fell in between Meliodas and ban. You then continued to tackle the demon attacking with just your hands until the demon form went away leaving a naked girl. You grabbed a cloth out of a shattered window covering the bloodied girl.

"Y/n?!" Ban shouted. Your eyes landed on him in a not generous way.

"Let me help you! We can stop this together." Estarossa pressed further.

"I told you I'll do this by myself so shut up!" You said hitting your head. "Just go away!!"

"Is he bothering you again?" Meliodas asked.

"He's been bothering me since I left... In truth I just went to get berries from the outskirts of the fairy king's forest... And then I was startled to hear that they now see my brother as the king... It irritated me." You growled. "But that doesn't matter, we have to help these people."

"...." Ban hadn't moved his eyes from Meliodas... He was set on killing him. You pulled your blade from the ground.

"I can't keep this bubble up for long you guys... We need to get moving!" You barked. Ban sighed moving his eyes from Meliodas.

"We'll continue this later." You all split and began helping the corrupted guard. You continued to help the holy knights until you stumbled into the area where Diane was collapsed, she was protecting a kid from the rubble and the Holy Knights that weren't corrupted weren't attacking. It was Howser from the last time you snapped, Gilthunder, and Dreyfus. You deemed the situation ok before moving on. You continued taking out knights until you made it to a spot where you saw king using multiple daggers to attack someone, you got scraped by one and you gasped startled. King's head turned to you periodically for his eyes only to widen into a fearful expression.

"Y/n what are you doing here?!" He asked still fighting. You felt like you were stuck in place. The enemy he was fighting noticed you and you begun to panic. You ran away and picked up innocent children who were petrified along the way. You managed to put them inside a small intact bakery.

"Are you part of the seven deadly sins??? Is h-he-" one of the kids asked. You paused grabbing a package of donuts from the cabinet. You took some out handing one to each kids.

"I need you to keep quiet and hide... Don't cry, and if something happens I need you to run... Can you do that for me?" You asked smiling.

"Thank you so much ma'am!" One of the kids smiled.

"Alright, now hide!" You said leaving.

"Are you going to be ok?" A slightly older kid asked.

"Of course... It's my job kiddo." You said running out. You gulped nervously your healing bubble fell and you began to feel weak in the knees. You held up your blade shooting a projectile at the enemy king was fighting. You watched it hit and go through his arm. He looked slightly startled and then a sense of familiarity washed over him.

"This is poison made from the roots of the trees from the fairy kingdom..." He said. You paused and gulped. "How did you get those materials? And where did you learn to craft it to be so potent?"

You shot another one at him hitting his foot.

"Not talkative are you now?" He laughed.

"Leave her alone!" King shouted. "Your fight is with me!"

"Well now she's involved herself, so my fight is with both of you, and it pisses me off that I don't know how she got those materials!" He said.

"The poison won't effect you anyways, you're a fairy after all.... I made it to incapacitate any holy knight that got in my way... But it seems I was going to end up sorely mistaken and most likely dead." You sighed.

"She speaks!!!" The guy laughed. "Just because it doesn't effect me doesn't mean I can't feel it burning my skin!!"

"Good, that's something that I added to it from my childhood." You said. "Thanks for beta testing it for me."

"Y/n back down! I'm gonna kill him!" King said shakily. You paused.

"....You can't kill someone who you have that much emotional attachment visible." You sighed.

"Are you stupid? He said get lost!" The guy said. You paused.

"This is so boring, SCREW THIS!!!!" You heard Estarossa sigh loudly and then you felt an overwhelming sense of fear and insecurity wash over you. You felt it in your arm, power. You felt.. not so weak. Not so.... Worthless.

"Y/n!!!" King sounded stressed and anxious. You couldn't tell what was happening, you felt cold but your arm was burning hot.... That was it, the air around you felt cold because of how high your body temperature had risen. "Y/n can you hear me?!" Your vision glazed over you saw a confused enemy and a concerned king. You stood up and you felt it.. you felt all the anger you had towards ban, towards your "family". The sadness that had washed over you from King, and the emotional trauma.

And above all, you felt the irritation from the stupid man named Estarossa living in your brain!

You stabbed yourself in the leg.... At the time you had no clue why you did it. Maybe to stop yourself from rampaging or maybe you just wanted to feel the pain of being human again.

Later you found out that it was to gain your humility back. That sinking feeling of guilt that comes along with greed.

To finally understand why your brother made you so angry.

It was because.....

"Ban!!! Ban!!! Look! Look what I found in the forest!" You held up a large mushroom. "Maybe we can cook it up or somethi-" You noticed all the apple cores astray across the floor, the crumbs from loaves of bread previously stolen, the precious jewels and coin that ban had stolen. Something in your stomach caused that to not sit well.

"Y/n what's wrong? Are you ok? Did you eat a mushroom?!" He asked worried.

"Uh.. it's nothing! I'm fine." You muttered.
