You made it to Vaizal and all entered the maze, being split up soon later. You were alone at the time, you heard something coming directly for you. You grabbed a hold of it, it was a spiky vine from the fairy king's forest, and you recognized it just the same. The vine was pulled back and you were held above all the others who made it to the end.

"How are you alive?" Someone asked you paused. You looked back to see king and you nearly puked.

"I'm knowledgeable of what the fairy king's can use with their power over the forest, I sensed the vine as soon as it departed and dodged it." You said. "And then I grabbed onto it hoping you'd lead me right to the end of the maze."

".....Hahaha!!!" He laughed. "Ok then! I guess you can be part of the fighting festival too!" He shook you off the vine and the poison from the vines shook your mind slightly. You took out an apple biting into it.

"Here." King said as he passed you a vile. "It should make the poison cease."

"That's gloxinia the first fairy king." You sighed. "I don't know when he became tainted with demon blood such as I... But it's despair inducing for sure."

"I was worried there for a second y/n, I thought you seriously got yourself killed." Meliodas laughed. You smiled.

"Never." You shook your head.

"We need to divide the teams now, but since we have an odd number and we can only make four minions-" Gloxinia paused pressing a finger to his lips in attempt to help him think. "You!" He pointed out to you in the crowd and you felt your blood run cold again. "You'll be by yourself until the next round."

"Why her?!" Meliodas asked.

"Because she didn't get the chance to prove herself before in the maze, so she's gonna prove herself now." Gloxinia said.

"Your logic is all sorts of flawed!!" King growled. Your eyes glazed over.

"It's fine... What he means is I won't be up against an opponent either." You said putting a hand up to stop king.

"It'll be a mental test, he's probably just gonna draw out some bad memories or something." You said.

"Well now I'm not." Gloxinia pouted. "Guess I have no choice but to be cruel now." You were all divided and you sat on a pedestal a bit away from king and Diane and across from howzer and Gilthunder. Everyone looked at you for a second.

"She is all alone... I wonder what's going to happen." You heard meliodas' voice through the still air. You let your eyes glaze over and you started to feel pain. Your stomach, and your back ached. Your head was spinning and you felt uncomfortably hot. You dug your hands into the stone beneath you attempting to give yourself a sense of the world around you. You coughed out blood despite not having any actual injuries.

"Do you know what's happening right now?" Gloxinia asked.

"I think so." You coughed, your throat began to burn. You felt as though you hadn't drank water in years, or eaten food.

"What do you think is happening?" He asked.

"....This is your pain from years ago, things you must've experienced when the demon King captured you... Or possibly before that when defending the forest." You said.

"That's right!! What a good job!!" He said treating you as though you were a dog.

"Don't treat me like a pet.." you growled.

"For a human girl your dealing with this extremely well." He smiled darkly. He was speaking into your head, but you could tell the other's could hear him. It all stopped and you were left to the arena.

"Y/n has passed!" The announcer shouted. You felt so tired by this point in time. You let yourself sleep until the next matches. You heard king shouting and you woke up.

"Are you ok?" He asked from his pedestal.

"She endured all of the pain from protecting the fairy king's forest the first time and becoming partially demon.. she has to be exhausted." Gloxinia said. He was sitting next to you now.

"Ha, jokes on you, I already experienced the pain of becoming part demon.." You coughed weakly. "That was too easy."

"Get away from her!" King growled defensively.

"Aww, you care for this human?" Gloxinia smiled grabbing your limp self and sitting you up so you were propped up against his chest.

"Go away.." you murmured. "Let me sleep."

"But she's so weak? There's no reason for a fairy king to take a liking to anyone as weak as this? She's not even a fairy."

"Leave her alone!!!!" King growled.

"Fine." Gloxinia said standing up and walking back. "She's rather peculiar though... Really pretty."

"Yuck." You said turned away from him.

"Oh well, too bad her personality is horrible." Gloxinia yawned returning to his place next to the giant.

"Y/n!" King said. You felt a spike charge through your stomach. You sighed.

"How problematic." You groaned pulling yourself off the spike laying on the ground next to it you dispersed your soul into some flowers that you sprouted onto the platform you were on. Leaving only a frame of what you used to look like.

"Wow!! How impressive! I wonder how a human learned to dispatch her soul into the soil around her like that." Gloxinia clapped happily. "However it's going to take quite some time for her to be able to return back to normal, leaving her vulnerable to attacks. You gathered your soul into a small fake dog focusing on making wings. Which you achieved and flew over to king with your bag in your mouth. King comforted you in his lap. You nudged the blade attached to your bag, and led king to the center of the platform nudging your dog nose into the dirt. King stabbed the platform and the blade seeped some of his magic out as well as yours to create a bubble barrier. You regenerated back to your prior human state soon after but you had lost all control of your limbs.

"Y/n!" King comforted your real body close to him.

"Aww that's not fair at all!!" Meliodas whined. "Why do you get to hold your girl but I can't hold mine?!"

"Heh." You laughed lightly.

"Yeah!!" Ban backed him up. You felt tired and warm.

"Hah! My baby hippo." King said hugging you tighter.

"You can't just take the nickname I gave her!!" Meliodas pretended to be offended when you started coughing again.

"You broke the rules!" Gloxinia shouted. You laughed.

"You can place all the fake pain you want on me, but you can't get through that barrier." You laughed weakly.

"What?!" He pressed lightly against the barrier.

"It works against demons, the force comes straight from demon blood and repels all demons, including meliodas and myself if we aren't already in the bubble." You mocked him from inside the bubble as he continued to attempt to attack it. He eventually gave up returning to his place. You were really tired so you decided to trust yourself to king and the amnesiac Diane and sleep.
