6: New Class, New Beginnings

It was now January and school was starting again today. Cyrus slumped out of bed into the ground and groaned. He stood up and got ready for the new year. He walked to Buffy's house as per usual and she was waiting for him.
"Hey Buffy!" Cyrus gleamed at her.
"Hey cy.." She hesitated.
"What's up?" Cyrus asked spotting something was up.
"I uh.. I have something to tell you," She stuttered.
"What is it Buff?" He asked.

She was a little hesitant at first but realised who she was speaking to. Her and Cyrus went back to when they were little so she knew she could trust him with everything and anything. She smiled at him and said.
"I think I like Marty.." She exhaled.
Cyrus squealed.
"Really! We knew it all along! Aww your so cute togeth..." he said before being cut off.
"We're not dating, I don't know if I'm ready for that. But I would like to get to know him better." She finished before they walked to school.

Upon arrival, they saw Andi with a new hairstyle, it was shorter but it suited her (style she has in the show).
"Happy new year guys!" She exclaimed.
"Happy new year!" They both replied.
Cyrus knew that telling Andi about Buffy's crush was a bad idea at the current moment as she did not need the embarrassment just yet. Cyrus saw Jonah stood against the wall opposite Cyrus with his girlfriend. They were both on their phones not speaking to each other. Instead, Jonah occasionally lifted his head up, not to look at his girlfriend, rather to look at Cyrus. The looks were brief but obvious. Buffy saw and smiled.
"This is so cute, never did I think that Jonah Beck would be crushing on Cyrus." She chuckled with Andi.
"He doesn't even know that I know." Cyrus whispered. Jonah looked up one more time before the bell rang and a small smile grew on his face. Cyrus finally returned the smile to Jonah which resulted in his face going pink.

The bell rang and classes were starting. The trio all had English first and arrived at the class to see their teacher had left.
"Oh what a nice man! Leaving us without any warning." Buffy shouted. They made their way downstairs to the classroom they were redirected to and saw they had Cyrus's favourite teacher.

"Morning guys! Oh Cyrus, I've put your seat just in front of Jonah but if he try's anything, I'll have a word with him." She whispered.
"I'll be fine, thanks miss," Cyrus replied.
The moment he was out of view he put on a face that said 'don't even think about talking to me'. He took his seat and let out a long exhale.

Jonah Beck waltzed through the door and saw his book behind Cyrus. He sat in his seat and began working away. Cyrus thought this was pretty weird as Jonah usually never gets on with his work straight away. Cyrus accepted the situation and began working himself. However, no more than 5 minutes later, Cyrus felt his chair get kicked. He ignored it. Then it happened again, and again. He turned around and Jonah had his head facing down chewing a pencil. He looked up at Cyrus's confused face.
"What?" He asked.
"Stop kicking my chair." Cyrus replied before turning around.
"Sorry," he whispered. Cyrus just smiled.

It was the end of the lesson and everyone was ready to leave.
"Well done class, you all did incredible today and I'm sure it's going to be a pleasure teaching you! Your all dismissed except Cyrus, I need to speak to you." She said, and with that the entire class left the room except from Cyrus. Andi and Buffy waited outside for him.

Cyrus sat on a desk and listened in.
"So how was he?" She asked packing her laptop away.
"Who are yo... oh.. Jonah. Yeah he was ok." He replied.
"It looked like you were telling him off for something," she added.
"Oh he was just kicking my chair by accident." Cyrus said.
"Remember I'm here if you need me so be careful Cyrus." She smiled.
"I will, see you later!" Cyrus waves goodbye before leaving.

"What was that about?" Andi asked.
"She thought Jonah was trying something because he accidentally kicked my chair."
"Oh did he now?" Buffy wiggled her eyebrows.
"Oh my god, you guys are the worst!" Cyrus complained.
"Oh you love it really!" Andi chimed in.
