Cyrus's eyes slowly and gradually opened revealing a bright ass room in front of him. He sat up roughly and slapped his hand everywhere hoping he'd hit his phone. Once he eventually did, he picked it up and looked at the time.
11:25am
"SHIT!" He yelled and jumped to his feet, scrambling around for clothes and a towel. He had overslept past his alarm and was now rushing. The lady was supposed to inspect the house for their new dog today and he only had about half an hour to get ready.
Cyrus leaped into the shower trying his best to avoid slipping over and turned on the hot water. The water was cold at the moment and needed to heat up so Cyrus yelped at the sudden feel of cold water splashing on him. The water eventually turned to warm and Cyrus could enjoy his shower now. Once he had finished and dried off he changed into a pair of jeans and a pastel blue T-shirt. He ran downstairs and quickly whipped up some toast for his breakfast. Once the toaster had gone off, he sighed in relief that he still had time to relax. He buttered up his bread and sat on the couch watching a TV show whilst he ate.
It was about quarter past one when a knock on the door could be heard. Cyrus jumped to his feet and answered the door. A woman in a fairly modern outfit greeted him with a clipboard in her hands.
"You must be Jonah?" She asked.
"Cyrus actually... but nice to meet you!" He exclaimed and invited her in.
"I must say, the neighbourhood here has a beautiful feel and atmosphere."
"Thank you we are so happy to finally have a place of our own." Cyrus replied and began touring her around the house.
"So you're thinking of the Jack Rustle?" She asked.
"Yep! Im so excited." Cyrus smiled brightly.
"That is a very good breed, and by the looks of things, it would like it here." She smiled back.
"Thank you." Cyrus replied. He showed her around the first floor before making their way upstairs.
"So where is your husband at?" She asked whilst checking the bedroom.
"Just boyfriend actually, and he's at work." Cyrus replied.
"Ahh I see." She nodded before pushing her glasses back from the front of her nose. She did some last checks and they went back downstairs.
"Well I'm impressed with what I have seen and I am joyed to announce that your home is ready for a dog." She smiled brightly causing Cyrus to jump up and down in his seat.
"Thank you so much!" He squealed causing her to laugh.

Jonah arrived home to see a very giddy Cyrus just finishing dinner for them.
"Someone looks happy today." He smiled and kissed his boyfriend.
"You bet, I've got exciting news." Cyrus replied and lay dinner out on the table. They sat at opposite ends of the table and Jonah looked just as excited to find out.
"Well, the dog woman was here today and she inspected the place. Long story short, our dog should be here by next week!" Cyrus exclaimed.
"Oh my god I can't wait Cy!" Jonah beamed.
"I know, we need to think of a name." Cyrus replied and pulled out a piece of paper with a bunch of writing.
"I take it that's a list?" Jonah wondered.
"Precisely! Now..." he started but was cut off.
"I want you to pick the name, not me." Jonah smiled.
