"Who the fuck thinks it's a good idea to knock on my door at this time?!" Buffy groaned as she rolled over and yawned.
"Do you want me to get it?" Marty asked as he rubbed his eyes. Buffy stood up and looked out the window. She knew who was at her door and turned around.
"I'll get it, you just rest up." She replied and walked down the stairs to the door.
"Well look who it is," She said opening the door to Jonah.
"We're doing this, now." He said and walked inside.
"Okay well I need some coffee first. Do you want any?" She asked heading to the kitchen.
"No."
Jonah sat in the kitchen on the island counters whilst Buffy made a drink. A silence filled the air for about a minute and a half.
"So..... what made you change your mind?" She asked attempting to break it.
"Harvey, would you believe." He replied.
"How?"
"He attacked me with a pillow, and then I had a nightmare that triggered it."
"And Cyrus?" She asked. Silence filled the room again.
"He uh- he left me." Jonah cleared his throat. He didn't expect it when Buffy put her hand on his.
"I'm so sorry." She frowned.
"It's okay- it was my choice. I didn't want him wasting his time." Jonah replied.
"You don't have to do th-"
"Yes I do, I can't live much longer if I don't."
"Okay." She nodded. Jonah waited patiently as she finished her coffee and had something to eat. He tried to slow his shaky breaths while she was busy. She reached into a cupboard and pulled out two pistols once she had finished.
"Will these do?" She asked raising her eyebrows.
"Sure," he replied and took one of them.
"Come on then." She said and turned the kitchen light off before walking to the front door. She and Jonah checked the guns for ammo and they were fully loaded.
"What about Marty?" Jonah asked before opening the door.
"Isn't he coming?"
"No," Buffy replied simply.
"Yes I am." Marty's voice was heard from the stairs. She sighed and turned around with pain written on her face.
"No you're not, you can't change your mind now." She replied.
"Why? Too scared I'll get more kills than you?" He teased.
"That's the most fucked up thing you've ever said, but no I ain't scared." She replied handing him a pistol.
"We'll head to her house first, check if she's there. If not then who knows." She briefed them before they headed off. Jonah climbed in the back seat of the car whilst the couple got in the front.
"I like your car by the way." Jonah said.
"Thanks it was brand new actually." Marty said before starting the car and leaving the driveway.
"So what's the plan then?" Marty asked.
"I told you, we go to her house and the-"
"I mean when we find her. Do we just shoot her and that's it?" He interrupted.
