43: Revenge

It had been a couple weeks and Jonah had been back at work whilst Cyrus was at home and working there as a writer. Jonah pulled up at the house. He'd just finished a long day at work and really needed to relax with his family. He strolled up to the front door and saw a car parked outside that he didn't recognise. Cyrus was waiting for him outside the door and kissed him.

"Hey How was work?" He asked taking Jonah's bag.

"Good, who's here by the way?" He questioned.

"Just Buffy, she wanted to visit. And she's got a pretty cool new car." Cyrus replied and opened the door. Jonah walked inside to see Buffy on the couch playing with Harvey.

"Hey Buffy," Jonah greeted her.

"Hey," She said taking Harvey off her lap.

"He's getting big now, isn't he." She smirked at the young boy.

"He's just extra tough, aren't you little bud." Cyrus replied tickling the boy to laughter.

"So what's going on Buff?" Jonah asked sitting with her.

"Well, I know how you kept saying that Amber was the reason that Natalie is gone. And I'm here to confirm it." She replied.

"What?" Both boys said.

"Marty overheard one of her lowlife friends talking about it and how pathetic you two were. I want revenge." She said.

"I knew it was her!" Jonah exclaimed.

"Well it's her loss anyway, me and Jonah have blocked her out from our lives now." Cyrus shrugged. Buffy shot a look straight at Jonah.

"Oh sure, your just gonna forget that she KILLED NATALIE!" Buffy shouted causing Harvey to shy away.

"We won't forget it, but she can't come and kill someone thinking she's gonna get a reaction." Cyrus shouted back.

"I think she does deserve one, The last thing she'll see is my face." Buffy smirked.

"No, Buffy. We're done with that now." Cyrus finalised.

"Great. That's fucking great guys, I'm so happy she's getting away with this. How dumb do you have to be. You want revenge as much as I do Jonah. Don't forget what you were talking about, on Christmas Eve." Buffy argued. Cyrus snapped his head towards Jonah remembering that he lied straight to his face. But at the same time however Cyrus had lied to Jonah. Cyrus knew that Amber was behind it all but chose to never tell Jonah.

"I think it's time for you to leave." Cyrus said pushing her towards the door. Jonah picked Harvey up and cuddled him to calm him down. He could hear the muffled shouts between Cyrus and Buffy outside.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU BUFFY!?"

"Me? There's nothing wrong with me."

"We have a family now!"

"Oh yeah and how long before she tries to kill you, or Harvey."

"Don't fucking say that Buffy!"

"Well it's true, she wants something to do with Jonah more than anything and she's already proven what she's capable of."

"Leave, NOW." Cyrus shouted and with that, Buffy was off.

"Hey, you okay?" Cyrus asked walking back in and closing the door behind him.

"Yeah, can you take him a minute? I just need a moment." Jonah asked handing Harvey to Cyrus. He went upstairs and sat on the bed.
