16: Detention With Destiny

The school day started that Tuesday morning. The birds were singing and the world was dancing whilst students around the world were stuck in their first lessons. Jonah and Cyrus had maths first and Cyrus enjoyed the sight of Jonah working out equations himself.

"Finally getting the hang of it?" Cyrus asked the boy.

"Yep all thanks to you!" He replied brushing his fingers over Cyrus's unsuspecting hand. Cyrus shivered at the touch and smiled at Jonah.

"I have something to tell you by the way!" Jonah continued.

"What is it?" Cyrus asked.

"I'm going to be a big brother, my parents are having another boy!" He gleamed.

"No way! When is it due?" Cyrus asked excitedly.

"About 7 months," Jonah replied.

A clearing throat could be heard at the front of the classroom. Their teacher was staring into the boy's souls causing every other student in the room to also stare.

"What do you want?" Jonah asked, slightly irritated.

"That's just earned you detention Beck!" The teacher laughed.

"No you can't do that!" Cyrus stood up from his seat.

"I can actually, you know what else? I can put you in there with him! Good luck." The teacher replied chuckling to his own jokes again. Cyrus scowled at the class and sat back down with his boyfriend. The rest of that class went extremely slowly and it was now break.

"You WHAT!?" Buffy screamed at Cyrus.

"We got detention..." Cyrus mumbled. Buffy was red with anger.

"Is Jonah making you like this?" She asked.

"No, I was standing up for him." Cyrus chuckled at her seriousness.

"Any more trouble and I'll be banging heads together Cyrus Goodman." She squinted at him.

The last few periods went slow as ever and Cyrus found himself making his way down to the library to serve detention. Jonah was already down there chewing on a pencil. He looked up from the desk and smiled at Cyrus as he walked down the stairs.

Cyrus took a seat next to Jonah and put his bag behind his chair. He looked around but couldn't see a teacher.

"Where's the teacher?" Cyrus said with his voice echoing from the walls.

"Your screwed." Jonah's whispered in reply. Cyrus was about to respond before a sharp voice rang through his ear.

"SILENCE!" The teacher shouted. Cyrus shrunk into his chair and stayed quiet as the teacher made her way to the front.

"You two are in here for one hour tonight, any distractions and we'll make it two." She smiled. Cyrus and Jonah exchanged a look of regret and both exhaled simultaneously.

Jonah lay his head on his desk facing Cyrus and mouthed "I love you" at him. Cyrus blushed in response and lay his head down to face Jonah. The two exchanged faces at each other causing small chuckling but not enough to get the teacher's attention.

After a while, Jonah kicked Cyrus's foot under the table causing him to yelp quietly.

"SHH!" The teacher whispered before going off to find a printer. Jonah chuckled to himself and Cyrus gave him a dirty look.

"What was that for!?" Cyrus whisper shouted.

"Shut up Goodman, or you'll make it two hours." Jonah whispered. He followed it up with a smirk as the teacher walked back in.

The hour had past and the two were aloud to go home.

"I can't believe you sometimes." Cyrus said to his boyfriend. Jonah chuckled in reply.

"What ever do you mean?" He laughed.

"I shouldn't have signed that contract should I." Cyrus smirked.

"Nope! But oh well." Jonah replied.

"Hey, you wanna go somewhere to eat?" Cyrus asked.

"Sure but this is gonna have to count as our one date this week, I have work to be doing." Jonah smiled.

"Fine. Let's just go for some pizza," Cyrus finished and they walked towards the town.

They arrived in a pizza joint and sat at a small table. Cyrus noticed that Jonah looked really uncomfortable.

"You alright?" He asked.

"Sorry I'm just not used to being in places like this." He replied smiling slightly at Cyrus.

"I understand, not everyone lives like you." Cyrus returned the smile and they ordered a large pizza between them.

The boys were enjoying their food until Amber waltzed into the building wearing a hideous outfit.

"Awww look at you two! Mind if I join in?" She smirked and tried to sit next to Cyrus. Jonah was once again uncomfortable and Cyrus decided to help out.

"Get lost Amber, you have no business here." Cyrus pushed he out of the seat next to him. She brushed herself off and gave him a glare.

"You'll pay for this one Cyrus Goodman, just you wait and see." She squinted her eyes before walking out again.

"What's her deal?" Cyrus finally asked.

"Beats me but did you see her outfit?" Jonah couldn't contain his laughter.

"I know she looked like something you'd find in the rainforest." Cyrus had tears at the corners of his eyes in laughter.

After they finished their food, Jonah walked Cyrus home and kissed him goodbye. Cyrus went straight to his room and started telling Buffy and Andi everything that happened.

I'm sorry this chapter is both short and bad. It's probably m worst chapter yet. However the next ones should be more exciting.
