Sam's POV:

May 14, 2019

I couldn't breathe, I was stuck. Something was pulling me down, I couldn't make it to the surface, my hand made it above the water just barely but I couldn't grab anything. I started to take water in and I was sinking, something grabbed my hand and attempted to pull me out but I was still being pulled down. Something entered the water and got me free but by that time, my vision went dark and I was seeing white dots...

I sat up and was gasping for air. Tears fell down my cheeks as I noticed I was wrapped in someone's arms. "Hey, it's okay. You're safe,"

It was a woman's voice. I looked up and locked eyes with my sister. I let out a deep breath, "Sorry, bad dream."

"No kidding, you were gasping for air, I was trying to wake you but you wouldn't come out of it."

I groaned, "I was stuck underwater. I don't know what happened, it was just so realistic."

"That sounds terrifying, but try not to worry about it. It was just a dream,"

I nodded and looked around. "Where is everyone? What time is it?"

"It's 8 AM. The 118 had to go to work, they said they'd be back later. I was about to wake you anyway because I have to get to work too. Eddie is still here though, he went to get coffee."

"What about Christopher?"

"He's alright, Carla was going to bring him down later."

"And Buck?"

"He's still asleep, the nurses think he should wake up anytime now,"

"Okay," I sat up and Maddie stood up.

"Call me if anything changes."

"I will,"

Maddie walked out as Eddie returned. "Oh good, you're up."

I smiled, "Hey,"

Eddie didn't look good, he looked exhausted. "How'd you sleep?"

I shrugged, "Alright, I had a nightmare about drowning."

"Really? I'm sorry to hear that. It's strange, you were asleep on my lap and I fell asleep. I woke up maybe 20 minutes ago from a nightmare about drowning too. I asked Maddie to take my place so I could go get some coffee."

I drew my eyebrows together. "That's weird. What kind of drowning? Like I was stuck, something was dragging me under."

"No, mine wasn't like that. I was boxed in, there was nowhere to go, I was in some type of cave."

I sighed and hugged him, that's all I knew to do. "I'm sorry,"

"Don't be, it's okay."

"When do you go back to work?"

"Tomorrow, Bobby wanted me to stay with you and make sure you were okay."

I smiled sadly, "That was nice of him,"

Eddie wrapped his arms around me and I felt a sense of comfort, I smiled and hugged him back.

"The family of Evan Buckley." A nurse spoke.

I shot out of my chair along with Eddie and we walked over to the nurse, "That would be us,"

"Relation?"

"I'm his twin sister, and this is my fiancé,"

Eddie looked down at me with a questioning smile and I gave him a look of shut up. "Alright, follow me,"

We followed the nurse and Eddie nudged me gently with his elbow and I looked at him, "Fiancé?" He mouthed almost making me laugh.

I held a finger to my lips and winked at him. The nurse led us through a maze of hallways before stopping and opening a door, "He's still asleep, but has been in and out of consciousness. If he wakes up, alert a nurse."

"Okay, thank you," Eddie said while I ran into the room. I was at my twin's side in a matter of seconds, I grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

"Evan, it's okay. Eddie and I are here," I started tearing up as I held Buck's hand to my face; I kissed his hand softly before speaking again, "I'm so sorry this happened to you. You were so worried about me instead of worried about yourself. This should've never happened," Eddie set his hand on my shoulder and rubbed my back gently, he sat down next to me and I leaned into him while keeping a firm grip on my brother's hand. Eddie was keeping me calm again, I still think it's crazy that he can do that. He must have some type of spell over me because he is just amazing and he could get me to do anything he wanted if he just asked. I felt a slight squeeze on my hand and I looked up, I set my other hand on Buck's and sandwiched his hand between mine. "Buck?"

He moved his head slightly and his eyes opened, I smiled at him, "I'll go get a nurse," Eddie spoke and ran out the door.

"Oh my god, you're okay." I smiled and ran a hand through his hair.

Buck faintly smiled at me, "Are you okay? I couldn't see what happened to you."

"What do you mean?"

"I saw you running towards me, but then you were gone. Was that even you?"

"Yeah, that was me, Buck. I was there, Eddie pulled me behind the ambulance to keep me safe. I wanted to be right next to you, I'm sorry I couldn't be."

"It's okay. I'm glad Eddie kept you safe, otherwise, I'd have to kick his ass,"

"I'd love to see you try," Eddie said with a smile on his face, Buck smiled back as Eddie sat down next to me. "How're you feeling?"

"Alright, I'm really sore, and my leg hurts but other than that I feel fine."

"Okay, well you lost a lot of blood, it's going to take you a lot of time to get back to normal."

"It's a good thing Sam moved here," Buck said with a smile.

I nodded, "Yeah, I'll take care of you."

Eddie looked at me and I smiled at him, he smiled back and Buck cut in, "Am I missing something?"

We both looked at Buck, I shook my head while Eddie spoke, "Nah you aren't missing anything, right Sam?"

"That's right, Eddie."

"How do you two know each other? Eddie wasn't there the day I introduced you to the 118."

"I'm Christopher's assistant teacher."

I could see the gears turning behind his eyes and I started laughing, "Ohh, that makes sense."

A nurse came into the room and both Eddie and I stepped out, "I'm going to call the 118 and let everyone know he's awake."

I nodded, "I'm going to call Maddie." I walked away from the door and took my phone out, I called Maddie and she answered on the third ring. "Maddie?"

"Sam? What's wrong?"

"Nothing, everything is good. Buck is awake and talking."

"Thank god, thank you for calling me. I'll be down around 4, you can leave as soon as I get there."

"Okay, love you, Maddie."

"Love you too."

The line went dead and I saw Eddie still on the phone looking at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back, now for the moment, I was truly dreading... I walked down the hall to an outside area, no one was out there so I looked at my phone. It was time to call my parents...
