Sam's POV:

"What do you mean, there's been an accident? What happened to my brother?"

"There was a bomb inside the fire truck, your brother was in the passenger seat when it went off."

"Oh my god," I put my hand over my mouth and started to tear up, "Please tell me he's okay."

"We aren't sure yet Sam, we are almost there," Athena replied.

I tried to keep myself composed but was failing, when the car stopped, we were surrounded by men and women in uniform. There was smoke up ahead, I got out of the car and pulled at my hair. I had to check on Buck, I had to make sure he was okay. I pushed past the crowd and there he was... he was all alone, his leg was under the flipped truck. His face was all cut up and my stomach just flipped. A kid was standing over Buck and I took my chance. Something inside of me flipped and I was enraged that someone would purposefully do this to innocent people. I ducked under the yellow tape and ignored the calls for me, "Evan!" I yelled and ran towards my brother.

The kid near my brother looked up at me as an arm wrapped around my waist and the other went over my mouth, "No, don't!" He yelled.

"What're you doing? No! I have to help him!" I tried to yell.

I fought the entire way until I was set on the ground behind a car. My eyes were met with a familiar, warm brown. Eddie, what is he doing here? "Sam?" He questioned, "You can't help him right now."

"You're a firefighter?"

He nodded, "I am, how do you know Buck?"

"He's my twin brother."

He gave me a confused look, "Twin? Really?"

I nodded, "Yeah, and I need to get back to him!" I started fighting Eddie again and watched Hen shake her head while giving Eddie a stern look.

"I- uh, see you got blessed with the good looks," Eddie stated and I started blushing due to being caught off guard before looking down. "No, keep those pretty blue eyes on me." I looked back at him and smiled lightly. "So, are you a natural brunette?"

I shook my head, "No, I'm a blonde but I dyed it not too long ago for a change."

He smiled, "Y-You know, Christopher won't quiet down about you? You're the greatest teacher he's ever had."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you actually interact with him, he has never had a teacher go outside and play soccer with him, push him on the swings, or anything like that."

I smiled, "I know you're just saying this stuff to try and distract me,"

"I might be trying to distract you, but I would also never lie to you."

"Not even when you called my eyes pretty?"

"No, you're gorgeous Sam," Eddie just blurted out and his face went red.

I blushed and looked away, I noticed that Hen and Chimney were gone. I looked back at Eddie, "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you," I said with guilt consuming me.

"Why do you say that like it's a bad thing?"

"Because I'm your son's teacher,"

"So? What if I said I haven't been able to stop thinking about you either?"

I looked at him, "Have you been thinking about me?"

"Non-stop."

"You aren't just saying this because my brother is hurt, are you?"
