Sam's POV:

April 17th, 2020

The last month has actually been really nice, Eddie and I have really opened up to each other about everything. Eddie managed to tell me about his missions in Iraq, I told him about my life before Stanford. We were open and supportive of each other, which was such a great and relieving feeling. It was nice to have those feelings off my chest, I have also been more open with Evan and Maddie. Telling them about my past was really tough, it was hard for them to hear but they understood why I never told them. They were so beyond supportive, I still have my bad days where I need a personal day but I think everyone needs one of those now and then. It was a nice weight off of my shoulders though considering the only person who knew everything was Nic.

Eddie and I were planning on going out tonight, he was able to get out early which was nice. We haven't been out in a long time, Eddie and I also talked to Christopher not too long ago, he is totally on board with Eddie and me getting married when the time comes. He understands that I'm not trying to replace his mother, and Christopher himself brought up the idea of getting another sibling which shocked me slightly. Still, I'm more than happy that he supports my relationship with his father.

I was getting ready for my night out with Eddie, I couldn't help but smile to myself. I was beyond excited to spend time out with Eddie, I got in the shower and then dried my hair. My hair was at a funky stage, blonde at the top but brunette at the bottom. I definitely think my hair is too long but if I cut it to the blonde it's going to be short. I narrowed my eyes and got dressed, I still had two hours before Eddie got home so I said goodbye to Carla and Chris, got in my car, and drove to the hair salon.

"How can we help you?"

"I just need a haircut."

"Okay, with who?"

"Whoever can get me in and out quick."

"Alright, what's your name?"

"Samantha Buckley."

"Alright, I will go and find Julie."

"Thank you very much."

A few moments passed and I ran my hand through my long hair, it was almost to my butt and I couldn't stand to have it this long. The length of the cut would bring my hair to my shoulders, I was kind of nervous, my hair hadn't been that short in a long time. "Samantha?"

I looked up and smiled. "Hi, Julie."

"How are you?"

"I'm good, how're you?"

"I'm great! Your hair is gorgeous! You've taken great care of it!"

"Thank you. Is there enough here to donate?"

"Well, how much did you want cut?"

I sat down in the chair and smiled, "To the blonde."

"Oh wow! That has to be about 2 and a half feet, that's a lot, a big change. That's plenty to donate!"

"Perfect, that's great to hear."

"Tell me about yourself, Sam,"

"Well, I am an assistant teacher at West Grove Elementary School, I help out a little boy with CP and he is also my boyfriend's son."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah," I am now realizing how bad it sounds.

She laughed, "It doesn't sound bad at all; tell me about your boyfriend. How long have you been together?"

"8 months in three days."

"Wow! Congratulations!"

"Thank you,"
