Sam's POV:

The past few days have been anything but easy, I had to walk around with a knee brace on at all times, if I didn't, I could risk tearing my ACL again. Eddie had been right, it was strained, not torn. Buck was helping me out a lot when he wasn't at work. He has been the fire director for the 118, Eddie is constantly telling me how annoying he is which makes me laugh. I always reply with, "Welcome to my world," things with Eddie were decent right now, but as the days went on it got worse, he became distant and secretive it all started two nights ago, he went out at night and didn't come home for hours, I know because Carla called me and asked if I'd come over because she got an urgent call. I was awake waiting for Eddie to come home until 2 AM, when I woke up, he was up and making breakfast. He told me he had a late shift, but something didn't seem right about that answer.

He has been acting off since he met this Lena chick that is taking Buck's spot at the 118, neither Buck nor I like her. She seems WAY too friendly with Eddie for my liking, I'm not normally the jealous type but she better stay the hell away from Eddie, because hell will be paid if she doesn't.

I decided to visit the 118 today, I had missed them, I normally see them at least 3 times a week but it has been 4 days since the tsunami. I made my way inside, it took me a few extra moments since I had a little bit of a limp. I heard some people talking about a rage room incident, I was bummed Buck couldn't come with me, he was having a legal meeting with all of the 118 tomorrow and couldn't have any contact with them until then.

I saw Eddie boxing on one of the punching bags. I smiled at the sight of him, I could watch him all day, that is until Lena walked over to him and playfully hit him, his smile grew and I felt a pit in my stomach. On instinct, I turned around and went to leave when I almost physically ran into Chimney. "I'm sorry,"

He smiled, "You're totally okay, how're you feeling? None of us have seen you in a while."

"I'm fine, I should probably get going though, I don't want to intrude."

"Don't be silly," He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we walked toward Lena and Eddie making my stomach flip.

Eddie looked over at me and his smile dropped immediately he walked over to me and set his hands on my shoulders. "What're you doing here? You aren't supposed to drive for at least 3 weeks, and the doctor told you to stay off your feet as much as possible."

I rolled my eyes, "Eddie, a little exercise isn't going to kill me, besides, I didn't drive here, Buck drove me."

Lena walked over and stood next to Eddie, "Who's this?" She asked looking me up and down in a judgmental way.

Eddie was about to speak before I crossed my arms and glanced at her, "I'm Samantha, Buck's sister, and Eddie's girlfriend."

Lena glanced at Eddie, "That's right,"

Lena raised her eyebrows, "Interesting, Eddie, I need a spotter, can you help me."

"I'm sure Chimney wouldn't mind helping you," I replied innocently.

Chimney gave me a strange look and I think he noticed the look in my eyes. He nodded and walked over to Lena, Eddie gave me a weird look. "What was that about?"

I rolled my eyes and set my hands on my hips, "I could ask you the same thing."

"What are you talking about?"

I scoffed, "Seriously, Eddie? The big smile for her and when you look at me it disappears? Are you kidding me? Do you have any idea how badly that hurt me?"

"I-I didn't even realize I did that,"

"So that makes it okay?"

"I didn't say that, but that doesn't explain why you were rude to her,"

"Rude?! Are you being serious right now? Did you not see the judgmental look she gave me?"

"You are imagining things, Sam, it's probably your pain meds."

"Excuse me?" I took a step back, "You don't believe me?"

He rubbed his forehead, "It's not that, but I know Lena, I know she wouldn't do that."

I felt tears prick my eyes from anger, "Eddie, you have known her for 4 days! You've known me for almost 4 months. You seriously are taking her side over mine?"

He sighed, "I didn't mean it like that,"

I shook my head, "No, I get it. Go spot her,"

"Sam-"

"Go!" I yelled.

I looked and saw Chimney, Bobby, Hen, and Lena looking at Eddie and I. Lena smiled at me but it wasn't a kind one, I went to walk out when I saw Buck at the door. He looked sad, I stumbled and Buck rushed over to me to prevent me from falling, I guess Eddie had done the same but Buck made it to me first, he gave Eddie a look, "Stop, you've done plenty already," Buck helped me back to my feet and out of the 118 firehouse. He helped me into the car and walked around to the driver's side. He sat down and looked at me, "Are you alright?" I shook my head and started crying, Buck pulled me into his arms, "It's okay, I've got you, Sammy."

I cried even harder and looked over his shoulder to see Eddie standing outside of the 118 staring at Buck's car. "Please get us out of here,"

Buck looked where I was looking and drove away immediately.

Buck helped me out of the car and into the apartment, he then helped me into my room at my request. "What can I do?"

"Nothing, I just want to be alone."

Buck sighed and nodded. He walked out of my room, I curled into my pillows and quietly cried, I was so angry and hurt at the same time. I never thought Eddie would hurt me like this, tonight I will have to talk to him, and make things right. It's date night anyway.

I was thinking of what to do for tonight when Buck walked in with two cups in his hand, I looked at him and he sat down next to me. He handed me a cup of hot chocolate, "This always made you feel better when we were kids."

I smiled, "How thoughtful. Thank you, Evan."

"Of course, what are you going to do?"

"Well, I'm going to his place tonight, it is date night anyway. I'm going to talk to him, and see what happened today with a level head."

Buck smiled, "You've always been the civil one of our family."

"Yeah, considering you almost killed my first boyfriend after he cheated on me."

"Hey, Marcus deserved that, you never mess with a Buckley."

I started laughing, "You're the best brother ever."

"You're sweet,"

"It's true." I smiled, Buck wrapped his arm around me and kissed my forehead.

"How's your leg feeling?"

"It's alright."

He nodded, "Okay, do you need any help with your date night."

"Well, since you were so kind as to offer..."

Buck laughed. "What did I get myself into?"
