Eddie's POV:

It's time to play cops, when I got to the rage room, I immediately noticed dry blood on the wall by the entrance. This happened here? I walked inside and over to the worker. "Hey there. I'm Eddie Diaz, LAFD, I have a few questions if you don't mind."

"Of course, what can I do for you?"

"Did you happen to work last night?"

She smiled, "Yeah, we were busy."

I grabbed my phone and found a photo of Sam and me, I zoomed in on Sam and showed her the phone. "Did you see her?"

"Yeah, she was here with all the firefighters."

"That's right, did you notice anyone giving her trouble?"

She shook her head, "Not that I can remember. She went outside at some point and never came back though."

"I know this is a lot to ask but do you have cameras at the door?"

"Yeah, of course, we do, would you like to see the footage?"

"That would be great,"

She started typing on the computer and didn't meet my eyes, "If you don't mind me asking, what's this about?"

"She was attacked. I see dry blood outside and I want to find out who did this so I can inform my friends at LAPD."

"I'm so sorry to hear that, she seemed like a sweet girl, out of place but she was sweet. Is she going to be ok?"

"They believe so, we just want to know what we're dealing with."

"Well here's your girl," She turned the monitor to face me and it started with Sam and Buck walking into the building. She looks as beautiful as ever.

I flipped through the different camera angles and watched her destroy a ton of stuff. If I hadn't been so self-absorbed, I could've been with her last night rather than her being here. I mentally slapped myself. You know, Sam makes me a different person. Normally I'm straight up with people and I can be a dick, but when I'm with her, my world stops. She's my everything, I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I watched Sam rush outside. I changed the camera's point of view. She was on the phone probably calling me. I sighed and as she went to go back inside, the door opened. Out walked someone I didn't recognize immediately, they were arguing. I paused the video and looked at the worker, "Does this by chance have sound?"

She nodded and turned on a speaker. I resumed the feed and listened closely, the sound was faint.

"I'm surprised you could even lift that thing over your head," The girl said referring to the sledgehammer in Sam's hands.

"Well, it's still in my hands. You better watch yourself." Sam replied making me faintly smile. That's definitely my girl.

"You better watch yourself, I will snap you in half like a toothpick if you get in my way. Not that you're much of a threat, it's a miracle Eddie has stayed with you this long." Wait, this girl knows who I am?

"Stop talking." Sam snapped.

"You're nothing, all you have to offer is looks, which you don't have much of, to begin with." I wanted to crawl through the screen and bitch slap that girl.

"Lena, stop." Sam set the sledgehammer against the wall and my eyes went wide. It's Lena?

"Or what? It's not like you could do anything to physically harm me, you hurt yourself, you're pathetic. Eddie is going to see straight through you sooner than later, in fact, I think he's already starting to." I cracked my knuckles and squeezed my eyes shut.

"What are you talking about?" My heart was hurting. Sam believed her...

Lena started laughing. "You stupid bitch, are you really that clueless? Where do you think your boyfriend has been the past few nights? Why do you think he missed your pathetic date night yesterday?"

"You're lying."

"Am I? Ask him yourself. He was with me, he doesn't want to be with some helpless school teacher, not when he can have a firefighter like me." She was trying to mess with Sam's head. I knew she wasn't buying it though.

Sam went to leave when Lena shoved her into the brick wall, Sam turned around quickly and punched her across the face, Lena came at Sam fast but she didn't flinch. Sam was putting up a good fight and did a good amount of damage to Lena's face but Lena started fighting dirty. She went after her knee, Sam started elbowing her in the face, she backhanded Sam one last time and dropped her to the ground. She then kicked Sam in the knee and glared down at her, "You're pathetic,"

Lena walked inside and after a few moments, Sam pushed herself off the ground. She called a cab, got inside, and disappeared.

My blood was boiling, I had rage sunken into my stomach and I was going to do something I'd probably regret. "Ma'am, can you make me a copy of this tape?"

"Of course."

My voice was deeper and I was doing my best to hold in my anger.

After a few minutes, I was handed the tape and walked to the door. "Thanks for all your help."

"Anytime."

I walked to my truck and drove to the firehouse. It was Lena's last day and I needed to pay her a visit.
