Sam's POV:
April 18th, 2020
Waking up the next morning left the night prior in a haze, I looked at my left hand and the ring was still there. It was real. As my memories came flooding back, I blushed a bright red. I looked to my left and saw Eddie sound asleep still, the grey sheets on our bed clung to my exposed skin, as I ran my hand through Eddie's hair, I could see the dark mark I left on his collarbone, making me blush even harder.
I sat up, holding the sheets to my chest, I wrapped one of the blankets around my body and walked to our closet, I slipped one of Eddie's long-sleeved army green shirts on and put on underwear. Our room still held the warmth we both felt last night, I walked into the bathroom and gasped before laughing lightly at the multiple dark marks left on my skin. I shook my head, put my hair up, and walked into the kitchen to start making breakfast. I turned the radio on and was swaying my hips to the music, I was trying to keep my mind off of how sore I was from last night. Yeah, sorry to break the news, but I was a virgin up until last night; I had bigger and better things to worry about in college.
I bit my lip lightly as I served the food on plates, I started washing everything and once I was done, I went to back away from the counter but couldn't move, my back was met with a stone-hard surface and it made my heart drop; I turned around and was lifted by my hips onto the countertop. I smiled when I saw my fiancé and wrapped my arms around him, he was wearing a pair of grey shorts with no shirt on.
"Good morning," I whispered.
"Good morning, indeed." His voice was still raspy making me laugh, "You're so beautiful,"
I turned red again and shook my head. "You're the best, you know that?"
Eddie smiled at me and pulled my body into his, he laid his left hand carefully on my cheek and his right arm was wrapped around my torso. He set a gentle and loving kiss on my lips, I kissed back and felt the tension grow. Eddie's waist was between my legs as I stayed on the countertop. My left hand found its way to Eddie's hair and my right hand was resting on his chest. "Next round?" Eddie whispered making me laugh.
"I would say yes if it wasn't for the fact that it's 9:45 and Christopher will be here at 10."
Eddie pulled away from me and gave me a confused look, "You think I need longer than that?"
My cheeks went beat red and I covered my face with my hands. "You did not just say that!"
Eddie set a soft kiss on my forehead and pulled my hands away from my face, "I'm just trying to appreciate my gorgeous fiancée."
"How about this, I'll feel appreciated if you eat the breakfast I made you."
Eddie's smile made me weak in the knees. "Alright," He lifted me off the counter and set me on the ground. "How'd you sleep."
I rolled my eyes playfully, "Best night sleep in my life. What about you?"
"Pretty damn close to the best night of sleep for me."
I just smiled as we sat down and the door opened, "We're here! Get dressed!" Buck yelled making me laugh.
"Real funny, Buckley," Eddie called after him.
"I thought it was."
In walked Christopher and Evan. "Hey, buddy!" I called out to Chris.
"Good morning Sam! Morning Dad!"
"Good morning, Christopher."
"Did you guys eat?" I asked.
"Yes," Christopher said. "Buck took me to the Waffle House."
"That was very nice of him, how about you go unpack your stuff," Eddie said.
"Okay!" Chris responded and walked to his room.
"So?" Buck asked.
"What?" I questioned.
Evan rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand, "So!" He implied to the ring.
"Yeah, last night," I replied and grabbed Eddie's hand.
"Anything else happen last night?"
I scoffed making Eddie laugh. "Jesus, Evan. Could you be any more subtle about it?"
"Well maybe, your fiancé should be more careful when it comes to leaving his mark,"
I looked at my exposed collarbone and pulled the fabric up to cover it. "I tried my best," Eddie remarked.
I shook my head, "We are not talking about this with my brother!" They both laughed at me and I just shook my head, "Hell, no."
"Alright, fine. I'm done. When's the wedding?"
Eddie and I looked at each other, "We haven't discussed it yet."
"Okay, does Maddie know?"
"Not yet," I said.
"Does Eddie know?"
"Know what?" Eddie asked.
"Evan," I whined. "No, I shouldn't have told you either!"
"What?" Eddie questioned.
"That it was my sister's first time last night."
Eddie's eyes widened a little bit and I just wanted to go throw myself off the Golden Gate Bridge. "There is no way," Eddie started but I looked at him. "Really?"
I nodded, "I think you can leave now," I said turning to Evan.
"Sorry,"
I rolled my eyes, "Go on,"
"Okay, my apologies. See you at work, Eddie."
The door shut and I turned to face Eddie who still looked shocked. "That was-"
"Awkward, never want to talk to Evan about our sex life again."
Eddie smirked, "Agreed."
"You do know that the whole 118 is going to know before your next shift tonight? Which also means Maddie is going to know."
"He's that much of a blabbermouth?"
"100%, has been since we were kids."
"Oh, great."
I laughed, "You were the one that chose to leave the marks where you did."
"Me?"
"Don't play with me, Diaz, you could've put a shirt on. That is not my fault."
I made Eddie laugh and I just shook my head with a smile on my face. "I love you, Samantha."
I laughed at the way he said it, "I love you too, Eddie."
