Sam's POV:

After dragging Buck all over town, he dropped me off at Eddie's and left.

I was wearing a pair of leggings since I was feeling insecure about my knee being swollen so I refused to put a dress or skirt on. I then had on a long grey sweater with flannel running up the side. My hair was curled loosely and I felt really pretty, I was excited about tonight's date.

I made Buck take me to the grocery store where I picked up everything for homemade lasagna, homemade breadsticks, milkshakes, and soufflés. Eddie always talked about how his favorite meal was lasagna and breadsticks, it reminded him of home. Then he talked about the milkshakes in North Carolina before he was shipped overseas. Finally, the soufflés that he always wanted to try, I loved cooking and baking so this wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish.

About 3 hours had passed and it was 6 PM, Eddie should be home any minute now. The food was just pulled out of the oven and I was prepping the table, Christopher was with Carla for the night, and I was sitting at the table waiting to greet Eddie at the door.

Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes turned to hours. I had put all of the food in the fridge, I continued sitting at the table and when 11 PM hit, I called Buck and asked him to come get me. He was here in a matter of minutes, I walked over to him and started crying, my makeup was running and he pulled me into his arms. "You're okay, it's okay." He helped me to his car and drove me home almost mimicking the events from earlier today. I practically ran into my room and locked the door, took my makeup off, and laid down in my clothes. I was so upset I didn't even bother to change. I cried myself into a deep sleep, where are you, Eddie?

Eddie's POV:

After my shift, I went to the fight club with Lena again, Chris wouldn't be home until tomorrow so I had plenty of time. Tonight was going to be my first fight, Lena said I should be able to make some really good money if I won. They love betting on the new people, and with my military background, I was going to destroy these people.

When 3 AM rolled around, I finally walked in the door of my house with $10,000. I had one cut on my face, near my left eye but that was the only visible injury I had. I had bruises on my back and rib cage but that's it, I set my stuff down on the table, and my attention was drawn to the chairs. I always left the chairs angled but this one was pushed into the table. I never pushed the chairs in, I drew my eyebrows together and shrugged it off. I walked to the fridge and opened it to find multiple containers full of food. I took them out of the fridge and saw lasagna, breadsticks, soufflés, and milkshakes. My eyes widened, it was Thursday morning. "Son of a bitch," I whispered.

I checked my phone and had a handful of missed calls and messages. I listened to the voicemail from Sam first. "Hey, umm I don't know where you are but I made you dinner for when you get home. I hope you like it, I came over to talk about today but I guess you didn't want to talk. I'm here for you, just talk to me. I guess I'll talk to you later. Bye, Eddie."

I sighed, "I'm so sorry, Sam."

I then listened to my voicemail from Buck. "I know I'm not supposed to talk to you but I don't care. What is your deal man? You have hurt my sister so badly in the last few hours. She locked herself in her room and wouldn't even talk to me. You need to figure your shit out. I saw the way you were looking at Lena. Not cool, if you want to be with my sister, then be with her. If you don't, then tell her. She doesn't need to be drug through the dirt again, I don't want to lose our friendship but for Sam, I will drop it in an instant. Fix this."

I wanted to slam my head on the countertop. I really messed up this time, the money wasn't going to be worth it. Not that it mattered, I already spent it on a new truck. No one would understand why I did this though. I needed an outlet, the more I paid attention, the more I understood what Sam was saying about Lena. She was a little overly friendly with me, she has been since I met her. I walked into my bedroom and took a shower before crashing hard, it was going to be a long day.
