Sam's POV:August 20th, 2020
My heart was beating outside of my chest, and I felt my nerves going crazy, today was the day that I finally got married. Today is the day that I finally get to marry Eddie Diaz. Sophia, Iris, Nic, and Maddie have been with me all day, they are my four bridesmaids. Eddie's groomsmen are Buck, Chimney, Conrad, and Bobby.
I was hoping that he was having better luck than me, little did I know, Eddie was currently in his dressing room pacing back and forth, he didn't have cold feet or anything, he was thrilled to be getting married to Sam, he was just scared of losing her. There was a knock on the door and in walked Evan. I turned to face him with all of my makeup being done and my hair being pinned up. He smiled at me, "Wow, you look amazing Sammy. I never thought I would see this day."
I smiled and pulled Buck into a hug. "Thank you, Evan. How is he doing?"
"He's nervous. But he couldn't be more excited."
I blushed, "Well, I'm nervous too."
There was a knock at the door and Buck carefully opened it to reveal my father, "Sam are you- Wow, when did my baby girl grow up?"
I saw the tears in his eyes and I smiled. "Dad, I'm so glad you were able to make it."
"You really think that I would miss my little girl's wedding?" I walked over to him and he pulled me into a hug. "You look so beautiful,"
"Thank you, dad."
Evan and Maddie joined the hug and I felt so much love traveling around the room. I did my absolute best to keep my tears at bay but it was tough, "Are you ready, Sam?" Maddie asked looking at the clock.
I nodded, "Yeah, I'm ready."
The room emptied slowly, Sophia walked to the alter with Bobby, Iris walked to the alter with Chimney, Nic walked to the alter with Conrad, and Maddie walked to the alter with Evan. Eddie was next to walk out, even though I couldn't see him, he would wait at the altar with his back to me, my dad would lead me up to him where I would tap on his shoulder, that would be his first look at me in white.
A few moments passed and I locked my arm around my dad's, "I'm really proud of you,"
"Thank you, Dad, I love you."
"I love you too,"
I smiled as the door opened and we walked out together, luckily there was a boardwalk so I didn't have to try and walk through sand in heels. I heard a few gasps as our guests looked at me, nothing was going to ruin this day, not even COVID-19. Every guest turned in their 'NEGATIVE TEST' before arriving today. I could see Eddie looking out towards the ocean, my chest tightened and everything seemed to freeze, a smile was pulled to my face and I couldn't be happier. My dad and I walked past each row slowly, our wedding venue was absolutely gorgeous, and I began to shake as I got closer to my fiancé. Something about him in maroon just makes my heart quit beating.
I was now just a few feet from Eddie, I hugged my dad he kissed my cheek, Maddie took the bouquet from my hands as I took in a deep breath. I hesitated before setting my hand gently on Eddie's shoulder, he was tense but immediately relaxed. "Hey," I whispered.
"Hey," He spoke and I didn't have to see him to know there was a big smile on his face.
"Are you ready?"
"Never been readier in my life." Just like that, he slowly turned to face me and I went weak in the knees. Eddie brought his left hand to his face to cover his mouth, "Oh my gosh, Samantha." He pulled me into a hug making me tear up. "You look so incredibly gorgeous. I don't even know what to say."
