BUSBOY

River sat next to Kie, both in their bikinis, trying to tan, JJ whistled and looked over to the boat that was going by. "You guys see that? That's the Malibu 24-MXZ. The worlds finest wakesetter." JJ turned around, his eyes landing on River in her teal bikini. "N-number one in luxury, quality and performance." He stumbled over his words. "200K, easy."

"We picked the wrong parents." Pope mumbled as he looked at the boat.

"I hate to break it to you guys but that's Topper and his girlfriend." Kie informed the four, as the boat went past.

"Sarah Cameron." River scoffed. She was the Kook princess and everyone doted over the girl. River didn't like Sarah, the only reason was that she betrayed Kie and that didn't sit right with her.

"You don't have to act like you don't see us, bitch." Kie shouted, loud enough for Sarah to hear. Sarah didn't look back at the Pogues, instead she kept looking straight forward, completely ignoring them.

"What is the deal with you two?" JJ questioned curiously as he wrapped his arms around River.

"Doesn't matter." Kie quickly shut down JJ.

"Hey Ri, you staying at mine tonight?" JJ questioned, resting his head in the crook of her neck. River hummed in response.

"Alright, keep a look out. We're behind enemy lines." JJ said as John B pulled to a stop.

JJ pulled his gun out and checked the bullets. "Yo, come on man, just put it back." John B said looking at JJ.

"What?" JJ shrugged.

"JJ." He said in a warning tone.

"You can never be too careful." JJ said. River jumped out of the van first and leant on the van door. She disapproved of the gun that JJ seemed to always carry. It was a risk. If the cops stopped them and found the gun on him, he'd be arrested straight away. And there was no way in hell that his old man would bail him out.

"Hey, I predict that brining a weapon to a four-star hotel will likely cause more problems than they solve." Pope said as he slung his arm over River's shoulders. Neither of them missed the way JJ's jaw clenched.

"Thank you Pope." John B said rubbing his forehead.

"I swear to God, I'm gonna throw that thing in the ocean JJ." Kie warned. "Put it back."

River leaned forward into the car, she quickly flashed the blonde boy a toothy grin and grabbed the gun, handing it to John B.

"You can't grab a gun like that." JJ said looking into River's blue eyes. "Can't forget my badge." Pope and River moved out of the way so that JJ could open his door and get out of the van. "Professional busboy." JJ said waving around the card.

River ran ahead slightly and stole JJ's hat. JJ wrapped his arms around the girl and spun her around, making her squeal.

"So, where are we going now?" Pope questioned as the four of them followed JJ aimlessly.

"We're getting on the internet because only rich people have electricity right now." JJ said placing River down and adjusting the hat on her head. River looked up at the boy through her eyelashes and smiled. "This way."
