"You sure he got everything?" Kie questioned as they all sat together on John B's dock. Kie hadn't looked at River, let alone spoke to her since River punched her.

River honestly wasn't suprised that she hadn't spoken to her. Kie was most stubborn than she was.

"Every bar." John B confirmed. "The whole enchilada." He muttered as he tried to pull off his cast. "Look, it's not like I expected a happy ending or some shit." He angrily threw his cast to the other side of his dock.

"John B-"

"What Kie? It's a hairline fracture. Who cares?" John B shrugged, River watched as JJ took another drag of his blunt and turned to face John B.

"You should care. Your arms gonna be messed up for life." Kie continued to tell him.

River placed a light kiss on the top of JJ's hand and then began to fiddle with his rings. She felt like she was too clingy with him sometimes, but what she didn't know was that he loved it.

"It's fine. See?" John B said as he raised his hand and wiggled his fingers lightly.

"Guys! Guys!" Pope shouted as he ran down the dock happily. "Oh God. I ran all the way here."

"How'd the interview go? Did you get the scholarship?" River questioned curiously, with a bright smile on her face. She was so proud of him regardless of if he got it or not.

"You alright?" John B questioned the panting boy.

"Don't ask." Pope panted. River wasn't sure if he was referring to hers or John B's questions "JB. Look, I'm sorry dude. About everything."

"It's fine." John B announced.

"But-but I don't have a lot of time, and I have information that is tactically relevant. So, before I had my interview, my dad said he was going down to the private airstrip to cut palms for Cameron's big plane. Because it was too heavy, it needed a longer landing strip to take off."

River watched carefully as Pope ranted. JJ has turned to face them. River was stood in between his legs. His hands rested firmly on her waist as she fiddled with his rings.

"So I'm there sitting in my interview, thing to myself, 'hm why would Cameron need a longer airstrip to take off?'" John B slowly sat up in realisation. "'What could be so heavy to weight it down?'"

"Gold." JJ announced proudly, as if he had cracked some super hard code.

Pope did some sort of happy dance that made River laugh. "Exactly! Guys this is our chance, but it leaves tonight, and we have to go."

"Guys we can't give up now." Kie said as she jumped down from her seat.

"Why's the plan big man?" JJ questioned as he rested his head on River's shoulder and attempted to pull her closer, if that was even possible.
