Unknown P.O.V

If there was one thing that she hated most - it was the rain.

The rain often brought a richness to each hue, the grass becomes glossy, reflecting the light, a new bright shine to their wands, softly waving in the breeze. This rain brought a freshness, each drop a heaven-given gift for each part of creation.

But all that was true when you were protected under shade - when you could watch it from a distance.

Here she stood, barely covered under a large tree branch, eyelids drenched from the cold rain.

Her father stood beside her, clenching the infant to his chest. They had been travelling for over a week now, barely making any progress.

"Are you sure this is the way?" She'd often ask her father, weary about his mild dementia.

"Yes, yes. I remember - MoonLight is less than sixteen hours away."

"You said that yesterday father!" She groaned as a gush of wind blew the branch backwards, exposing them to the violent rain.

"For Goddess Sake!" Her father growled, his once bright red eyes were now dull - frail and hopeless.

"Over there!" She gestured to another large tree about fifteen metres from them.

Her father nodded and placed his hand over the infant's face, running towards the tree.

No cave in sight, no shelter of any form - the three of them stood helplessly waiting for a miracle.

CYRUS' P.O.V

My eyes directed to the spare towels to my left, folded neatly in the bathroom cupboard beside me. Without, making any noise, I slowly grabbed them all and threw them into the bedroom. They fell to the ground and I mentally cursed, picking them up slowly and placing them in the wardrobe - away from her reach.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked her, leaning against the wall dividing the bedroom and the bathroom. She jumped slightly, turning to face me as she laid in the bath. She had one leg up on the edge of the bathtub, whilst the other, bent in the water.

I dared not to get any closer to the water - knowing well that the temperature would burn any man alive.

"Don't do that Cyrus! You scared me," She breathed out and swung her head back into the white neck-pillow.

"Apologies," I smiled, raising my eyebrows in amusement. "Answer my question,"

"I was thinking about you," She smiled, eye closed as she leaned backwards.

"Obviously," I scoffed childishly, pushing off and walking over to her.

"Oh shut up," She laughed and opened her brown eyes. "I'm a little worried about you, that's all."

I nodded, waiting for her to continue.  When I approached her, I sat on the edge of the bath, in front of her, beside her drenched leg. I grabbed it instinctively and lifted it up, allowing it to be placed on my lap.

"Why exactly are you leaving BloodMoon for MoonLight? Enzo and the rest are already there, what is your purpose?" She asked me.

My fingers were quick to grab the heel of her foot, the softness causing them to trail up her lower leg. My eyes remained on hers, watching in amusement as she squirmed as I caressed her lower leg.
