Same day 5 PM

I stared at Cyrus, the anger I felt previously was slowly returning.

We were now situated in our room, Cyrus on the left side, near the large windows, whilst I leaned on the dressing table on the right side of the room. We both didn't say a word, both of us contemplating the right choice of words. It was obvious that he was aware that I was pissed and I could tell that he was annoyed at me - for whatever reason.

I lowered my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest, the edge of the table digging into my ass.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his tone soft and concerned.

"Are you?" I asked quickly, lifting my head to face him.

Awkward.

Awkward tension filled the room as we kept eye contact, neither one of us breaking our gaze.

"I know you've got questions, Nevaeh." He breathed out and stepped forward, my eyes instantly trailing to his chest, over to his large arms.

*We've missed him..*

"And I want to be completely honest with you. I thought that if I kept it all to myself, that it'll all go away." He explained, walking over to the bed. He bent down, sitting at the edge. "And I hated what I had done. I couldn't look you in the eye and tell you because I was afraid that you'd hate me."

"I could never hate you," I rolled my eyes. "I just want you to be honest."

*We should be honest too!* My wolf yelled at me.

*About what?*

*Our infertility..*

Oh. Right.

"Enzo has told you everything, I've got nothing to hide now." Cyrus said.

"What's going on with you?" I asked seriously. "I can't help you if you don't let me in."

"That's the problem, I don't know what's going on. It started with my eyes. They would ache at unexpected times, accompanied by a terrible headache. All I knew in those moments was that my wolf wanted control, like he wanted out." He said, rubbing his hands together, deep in thought.

"Do you think it has something to do with the serum? Maybe it's reversing or something?" I asked him.

"No because if it was, I would be just like the other rogues. Those purple eyed rogues have turned into beasts in those woods, they feed on each other and I have no desire to feed on anyone." He shook his head.

My lips formed into a tight line, deep in thought. I was confused to say the least.

"Okay we'll focus on one thing at a time. Let's try and figure out why your wolf wants control." I pushed myself off the table, walking over to sit beside him. "When he takes over, is there something that he desires?" I asked.

"Power and dominion." He said simply. "But That's not uncommon for an Alpha wolf."

"Yes but you've got power, so dominion over what? Over whom?" I asked.

"I don't know." He sighed. "When he takes over, I lose control. It's like I enter into a psychological coma in which I can hear and see everything but cannot move or speak to intervene."

I nodded my head, our knees brushing lightly.

"That's why I sought for answers with the rogues, and one mentioned a witch that would occasionally lurk in the shadows. They remembered her because she worked with Logan and the Hunter. And another male at MoonLight also mentioned the same witch."
