The drive to Mooncrest was fucking terrible. It was times like this that I wished that we could teleport. Over four hours on the road, driving endlessly, without any contact with another person, besides each other.
Jordan had tried to spark up conversation but all I could think and talk about was Cyrus and the witches, and Mooncrest and..Enzo.
"How much longer?" I groaned.
"About another hour. Have you been able to contact Enzo? Or even your Mother?" Jordan asked.
"The two of them have shut themselves out. I hate to think that Cyrus is there causing havoc...and I hate that we can't do anything but wait! There's still so much that they don't understand and we have answers!" I rambled on in frustration.
"Nevaeh calm down. Your main priority is your own well-being. Everything else will work out for themselves."
I shook my head in disbelief.
I had no faith in that.CYRUS P.O.V
"I asked for a report over an hour ago.." I growled in annoyance.
Darion was on video call from Enzo's phone - positioned right in front of me, a look of fear present on his face.
"Apologies Alpha. Luna Elle and her children have been kept in their cells. Some of her pack members have tried to fight back but none had success. Our warriors defeated anyone that dared to rebel." He reported and I nodded, turning to my left.
We were in the car, driving with high speed towards MoonCrest. The road was bumpy and the moon appeared to radiate more than ever. The air was crisp - cold by unfazing. The only thought I had was of my plans to takeover Mooncrest - the 2nd strongest pack.
Alpha Lachlan was a strong man with a strong pack. If I had any chance of defeating him, it had to be done now - now when they had little to no time to prepare for my arrival.
It was obvious that word of my conquering had spread to Alpha Lachlan so I knew that we needed better tactics if we planned on entering their borders.
Luminous was the easiest to conquer. Luna Elle had no idea that we were coming. The poor woman welcomed us with open arms but her smile quickly disappeared as she watched as my warriors barged through her Pack gates, killing any Luminous warrior that tried to fight back.
Watching that scene brought my wolf joy but not satisfaction, there was still so much that He wanted to do in so little time.
It was times like this that my eyes played up - burning with pain. Whenever I caught my reflection I'd notice them flash from purple to blue, a symbol of the inner conflict that I was facing. My wolf had taken control - all control, leaving me - Cyrus as the subconscious, a slave to my wolf, the Beta.
"What would you like us to do with them?" Darion asked once more.
"Kill them." I said quickly as I spotted the large gates of MoonCrest.
Enzo leaned forward. "Is that necessary? It's women and children, Cyr—Alpha."
My wolf growled. He held no remorse. He didn't care if they were women and children. His plan was fixed and anything that dared to interfere was quickly eradicated.
