"As we all know, Darion was our proud champion last year and so we continue in the same tradition!" Cyrus continued. I stood in the same position, watching as the Pack cheered and howled in excitement.

"The last man standing will have a place on my board! We will test your agility, strength, endurance and also mental capacity! Because the last thing we need is another dumb fuck on my team. Excuse my French" He let out a chuckle, and gestured to Jaxon and the Pack raised their voices in laughter.

"All jokes aside, I couldn't ask for finer men on my team. Not only will you be trying to impress your Alpha, Beta and Gamma, but you will need to win the heart of your new Luna." He turned and gestured to me.

Oh shit.

He stared at me for a couple moments and it finally hit me that I needed to walk over and address the Pack.

I stepped forward and made my way to the centre of the courtyard, grabbing Cyrus' palm in my left.

"Your Alpha has pretty much said it all. But one thing he failed to add was that you should enjoy and cherish these games - regardless of the outcome." I added, raising my voice and I scanned the crowd, my eyes falling on a lot of unrecognisable wolves.

Were they from Moonlight? Or Luminous?

"Okay, you heard her! Let the games begin!" Jaxon's voice beamed forward and everyone cheered in excitement.

The first stage was an obstacle course, that I had failed to realise the moment I stepped into the field. It was considerably large and had several stages. It was obvious that Cyrus and his 'team' were testing agility and strength.

Eight male wolves participated at a time and the winning two would progress into the next stage.

It was beyond exciting watching as these strong warriors competed. I was amazed at their abilities and shocked at their continued determination. Because Goddess knows that I would have tapped out after the third stage of the course.

My eyes gazed the field and it landed on a small but lean figure. Instantly I recognised the wolf and my heart started to beat. Jarrod was standing with the next group of eight, his eyes focused. I fought everything in me to run down these stands and stop him but I knew that this was something that he truly desired and who am I to stand in his way.

I just prayed to the Goddess that if he loses, that he wouldn't dwell on the loss.

*You've got this Jarrod!* I mindlinked him and he looked up confused, searching the crowd for me. When our eyes finally met he gave me a smile and waved, before turning back to Marcus that was talking to the next eight.

"No fucking way!" Jordyn yelled out, her mouth open wide in shock.

"What? What did you see?" I asked her, scanning the field.

"You see those two over there," Jordyn pointed out into the field where the next group of eight were about to begin their race.

"Yeah,"

"I know the third guy from the left. He's some preppy rich kid — just cause his parents own some big business." She pressed onwards and I smiled weakly in boredom. "But the business is huge and they live amongst the humans, undetected."

"Why are you telling me this," I scoffed as the gun was shot and they started running towards the first obstacle.

"I just don't understand why he wants to be a werewolf all of a sudden," She groaned.

Huh?

"Like, the minute I say that I'm competing for lead female trainer, he suddenly becomes interested."
