Today was the day. Today was the day I was officially moving out of Florida and into California.

I'd just finished my first semester as a freshman in high school, although that wouldn't matter anymore because I was moving state and starting a different school with my youngest stepbrothers. Noah was also only in his first year of high school and completed his first semester at the school I was going to be attending, while Jayden and Liam were seniors, and Cole was a junior.

We only had a week to settle into the house before school started.

I was standing next o the car, my backpack slung over my shoulder and a box in my hands. I

My eyes were locked on the building in front of me.

I'd really living a lie. I was told this was just another house, but it was a fucking mansion. These people were loaded.

"You going to stand there all day orrr," a voice spoke from next to me.

"Yeah. I think I just might," I mumbled, gaze not moving as I replied to Logan, my mouth still dropped open.

A light push on my back caused me to snap out of my daze as I finally decided to reluctantly make my way towards the house (sorry, mansion), gravel crunching beneath my step.

I couldn't count how many times I almost tripped as I found myself still unable to tear my gaze away from how massive the house was.

I barely even realised we had reached the door before it was being pushed open to reveal the inside.

I think I was about to explode. This was too much for my last remaining brain cell to handle.

I was stood in a white hall with a modern staircase winding up to a second floor on my right. I could also slightly see another staircase leading to the third floor above that. I was surrounded by white walls and laminate wooden flooring. There were two different doors leading off into, from what I could tell, the kitchen and the toilet. Two large glass sliding doors made up nearly the entire length of the wall on my left, leading outside to a large garden and pool.

"Mason," I heard Jessica say from beside me. I hadn't even noticed her presence. "Why don't you show Lila to her room?"

I turned my stunned face to look at my oldest stepbrother, seeing him chuckle slightly at my expression.

"Nice, right?" he smirked.

"Well that's the understatement of the year.

"Oh you haven't seen the half of it," Mason grinned, turning to begin to walk away, me slowly trailing behind.

I silently followed behind him up two staircases and into a hallway that had four doors either side.

Mason led me to the last door and pushed it open to reveal the room inside. Wow!

 Wow!
