"Get your ass up!" was the first thing I heard the next morning.
I groaned and buried myself further under the covers, tiredness encasing every fiber of my being.
I'd gone to sleep quite late last night, another nightmare having kept me up and leading to an impulsive shower.
It was like I still felt their hands on my body, and no matter how much I rubbed my skin raw, they never disappeared.
It had been a few days, but my mind never seemed to leave that memory.
"Well you asked for it," I heard a voice say.
In my drowsy state, I was only half aware of what was being said. But my almost unconscious mind unfortunately didn't seem to care about the threat that had just been placed upon me.
Nothing happened.
I was sa-
Suddenly, I felt two hands harshly push my back and the comfort and warmth my covers offered me was gone as my cold body rolled off the bed and landed with a thud on the floor.
I sat up, rubbing my sore back as I did so, and glared at Jayden who was watching me with a wide grin.
I let out a huff of annoyance but stood up anyway. "Why did you wake me up? It's the weekend!" I groaned.
"My mom and your dad are coming back today," my stepbrother shrugged.
"Are they?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows. As far as I was aware, I hadn't been told this.
"Yep! So get ready and meet us downstairs. They're going to be here in half an hour."
I quickly ran out of Jayden's room and began to run towards mine when I bumped into Liam. "Watch where your going," he growled, shoving passed me and typing furiously on his phone.
"Are you Ok?" I called after him.
"Mind your own fucking business," he spat coldly without turning around.
What crawled up his ass and died?
I shook my head but decided not to push him, instead continuing to my room.
I pulled out a fairly comfy outfit of a cropped grey hoodie that reached just above the waistline of my cargo pants, as well as a pair of white and black sneakers.
I also quickly pulled my hair into two dutch braids before grabbing my phone off my bed and running downstairs into the kitchen where all of my stepbrothers were.
I glanced down at the fit bit and saw that Jessica and my dad would be back in just ten minutes.
I was pretty excited. I mean, I hadn't seen them in three weeks so I definitely missed them. Well, I missed my dad at least. I didn't really know Jessica that well. Thinking about it, I'd only spoken about five sentences to her since I first met her.
Deciding that I didn't want to begin the day on an empty stomach, I quickly grabbed a piece of bread and shoved it in my mouth, making me look like a hamster.
I didn't really care, though. It wasn't like the whole of America was going to see me with bulging cheeks.
I slipped into the seat next to Noah and pulled out my phone.
A small groan escaped me as I saw that I had over 300 notifications from the group chat with me, Lucas, Jin, Sophie, Melody, Kaya and Maddie.
I quickly skimmed through all the messages and snorted when I realized that practically all of the messages were memes.
