"NO!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, feeling extremely frustrated.

"What's wrong?!" Cole called from downstairs.

"I've just spilled water all over my laptop and now it's not working!" I shouted back.

"Just get a new one from the mall!" Noah yelled.

That would have been a good idea... except I had no one to take me. Only me, Noah, Cole and Jayden were home and none of us apart from Jayden could drive.

There was no way he would want to take me.

"Who would drive me there!" I practically screamed.

"Jayden will take you!" Noah yelled.

"What am I doing?" Jayden shouted.

Suddenly, an idea came to me.

"Just say no!" I yelled.

I knew that there was no way he would do as I said and he was more likely to say the opposite of what I told him.

Reverse psychology at its finest.

And just like I expected, he shouted at me, "Yes!"

"Awesome! Get ready to leave in twenty!"

MY 6 NEW STEPBROTHERS

"This. Is. The. Last. Store," Jayden hissed.

We had been wandering around different shops for a good laptop, but I couldn't find any. I also might have gotten distracted by other products once or twice. Possibly more.

"Ok, Ok," I smirked, walking into the apple store.

"Actually. You know what?" Jayden said before I could go any further.

I twisted around to see that he was still stood in the door with his arms folded across his chest. "What?" I asked with raised eyebrows.

"I'm going into that basketball shop down the street. I'll meet you by the car in half an hour," he said firmly.

I didn't mind that idea. It was obvious that Jayden wasn't exactly enjoying his time shopping, and against my better judgement I did feel bad that I'd been dragging him around places he didn't want to go to. It was only fair he went somewhere he wanted.

"Sure," I shrugged. "I'll see you soon."

I spent the next twenty minutes browsing around the store until I found a laptop I liked.

I paid for it and walked out of the store, stopping outside to shove it into my bag.

I'd also bought a couple of stickers to stick on the top, including a red heart with the phrase 'be yourself no matter what they say' in cursive writing, as well as a couple of animated cute animals and some more slogans.

I checked the time and saw that I still had five minutes before I had to meet up with Jayden, and considering it would only take a minute to get there, I decided to take the long route.

That plan didn't exactly go well for me

I walked down the street and took a left down a different one, then took a right down an alleyway which connected to a different one that led into the parking lot.

I was halfway down the last alley, when I saw four men leaning against the brick wall, smoking. They all looked to be in their forties or fifties, covered in tattoos and stubble.
