Chapter 12: Archieves

"Everything in here is about King stuff" Tori yelled frustrated looking through the kings files. "Okay so where would he keep his important stuff" Lucy spoke scanning the book shelf, "basement" Tori spoke thinking about her own father and how he had mentioned about old archives in the basement. "Oh my god- there is a basement here and it's locked" Lucy spoke. "So how do we get in" Tori spoke, "I hear Danny can pick a lock" Lucy smirked. "Yes she can" Tori smiled.

"Meet us in the basement" Tori's voice echoed in her head, "Alright well I should head back to the girls- I'll see you later" Danielle spoke, "Fine- but don't forget your coming to my room" Hayden muttered. "Dad" Danielle nodded awkwardly she had made the mistake of calling him his highness and he had corrected her wanting to be called dad, a term she was reluctant to use considering this man knew what happened to her family.

"So why are we here" Danielle spoke, Lucy held her flashlight, "When I was a kid we use to play hide and seek- but every time we came down here the uncle Benjamin would freak out saying this place was only for the king" Lucy spoke, "I bet everything he's hiding secrets down here" Lucy spoke pointing to a door, Danielle began to pick the lock, a small click and she eagerly opened the door. There was shelves and shelves of books, "Its an old archive" Tori spoke shaking Danielle, it was like stumbling on hold for them.

"Look this shelf says Valeria" Lucy spoke, taking a few books down they began to read through the history of Valeria, "It says here the people of Valeria had dragons that they commanded- people thought they were a threat so they lived peacefully within a magical barrier" Tori spoke, "Here's a peace treaty between the Wolf Kingdom and Yours" Lucy spoke, "We still don't know that I'm the actual princess" Danny spoke, "Oh my god I totally forgot" Lucy spoke taking out the music box she had found, opening it the music began to play.

Danny froze- "That song- where have I heard it" Danielle mumbled- the song she would hear every night in her dreams when she was younger. "Look at the engraving it has your name" Lucy spoke, "Your the lost princess" Tori smiled. "I can't be" Danielle mumbled looking at the music box, "It's okay Danielle- we believe in you" Lucy smiled.

"Who's there" A loud voice boomed- "Oh my god" Tori mouthed. "Come out" The voice spoke getting closer. "It's Clark- the kings advisor" Lucy spoke. Running around the other corner they ran right into the guards, "I found these three down in the archives" Clark spoke, Hayden and his father were sitting in the kings office, "Lucy what's going on" The king spoke, "Uncle Benjamin I can explain- you see- um" Lucy stuttered. "Valeria- we were looking for Valerian history" Danielle spoke looking the king in the eye. "For your homework" Hayden asked confused, "Danny" Tori smiled. "No- for my origin- I'm Valerian" Danielle spoke.

"Impossible- you can't possibly think your Valerian- that place has been gone for centuries" The king spoke, "And yet here I am" Danielle spoke pulling her shirt off her shoulder revealing her mark. The kings eyes grew, "Whats going on" Hayden spoke, "Your father knows what happened to my people" Danielle spoke, "Is that true" Hayden spoke looking back to his father.

"My father wagered war on Valeria" The king sighed his head bowing- "It lasted many years- When I took the throne your father was also just taking his throne- I did what I thought was right- it wasn't until after that I realized we had been tricked" The king spoke. "You took everything from me" Danielle spoke, Hayden's eyes circled with emotion as he tried to understand what was happening all he could feel was Danielle's sadness, the sadness his family had costed her.

"How could you not tell me" Hayden yelled, they were alone. "It was so long ago- we thought for sure everything had been over- it wasn't until the man that did all this came to me and told me the daughter of the king was alive and somewhere in this world- I covered up everything in hopes she would never find the truth- I never expected her to be your mate- fate has a cruel sense of humour" The King spoke. "She's going to hate me" Hayden spoke, "I know- but you can make it right for everyone- for her- for me- you can help her bring back her people" His father spoke.

"There's a way to bring her people back" Hayden spoke, "Yes- she has to find her lost power- Pyro locked it in the lake of dreams" The king spoke, "Where is that" Hayden questioned. "It's in Pyro's eye" He spoke. "And Pyro" Hayden spoke. "Dead- his grave sits in a realm called Halo" His father explained. "How do I get there" Hayden questioned, "Danielle has the power to cross worlds- she could bring you a long with her- if she chooses to" His father spoke.

"Danielle you have to eat" Her mother spoke, "Is Tori alright" Danielle spoke. "She's doing fine" Her mother spoke fixing her messy hair. "She's worried about you- the school is asking about you" Her mother spoke. "I'm alright" Danielle spoke, "Hayden came by again- would you like to talk to him" Her mother spoke. "No- I hate wolves" Danielle scoffed, "Danny wars are a universal concept- Plus it sounds like the wolves were tricked by this Pyro man- The king at the time must have done what he thought was right" Her mother spoke.

"Why are mothers always right" Danielle mumbled, "I don't care anymore I want to see my mate" Hayden's voice filled the hallway, a few minutes later he came barging into her room. "I'll give you two a minute" Her mother spoke, "Danielle I'm sorry- I didn't know" Hayden spoke kneeling in front of her. "I'm just upset" Danielle mumbled, "Why are you here I don't feel like seeing you right now" Danielle spoke, Hayden's eyes grew dark.

"All I can think about is how to make this right- won't you give me a chance" Hayden almost growled. "To finish us off for good" Danielle glared, Hayden's head fell. "I would never hurt you- when your ready to talk I know where the lake of dreams is" Hayden spoke.
