Brave - Sarah Bareilles

~3rd Person POV~

"Longinus is the name generally associated with the Roman Centurion who pierced the side of Christ during the Crucifixion," Nathan explains to his crowd of exhausted Legends sprawled around the office. Jessica lays on the floor in her raptor form, only waking again after Ray taps the bottom of her feet with his shoes.

"Yeah, he was blind and got the blood of Jesus in his eyes, and then he could see again," Jax adds.

"Look at you," Nate is surprised that Jax could give some intel on this topic.

"What? I went to Sunday school." Jax smiles.

"Now that blood allegedly got on the medallion and empowered it and the spear with magical powers." Nate walks around the room as he explains everything. He looks from person to person till his foot taps the raptor who's already fallen back asleep.

"Well, why does the Legion of Doom want the medallion?" Ray asks as he looks back to see why Nate had stopped walking.

"Legion of Doom?" Sara asks. Ray kneels down and pats Jessica's cheek till her eyes flutter open.

"Yeah," Nathan confirms.

"Don't ask," Ray warns.

"Well, according to legend, the medallion calls for the spear and basically takes you right to it. The spear is also known as the Holy Lance or the Spear of Destiny."

"Hey, hold on, this all just sounds like an Indiana Jones movie." Sara smiles, obviously amused.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark is the reason I became a historian. Did you know that?" Nate slaps in a fun fact about himself.

"Okay, so the Legion wanted the medallion so they could get the spear," Jax puts the information together.

"But what do they want with the spear?" Amaya asks.

"Well, the spear allegedly has the power to rewrite reality," Nate explains.

"But how's that different from us traveling through time and making changes to history?" Ray questions.

"Changes to history cause timequakes and aberrations," Nate starts. "Which we can undo. Changes to reality, however, those are permanent." Ray sighs loudly, seeming to be stressed. Jessica finally stands up, but her eyes are barely open.

"Great. And I just handed them over the medallion," Sara grumbles.

"Whoa, in exchange for Grey's life. Any one of us would have made that call," Jax defends her.

"Would Rip?" Sara asks, feeling guilty for handing the map to the spear to the enemy. Silence ensues and everyone leaves the office except for Sara and Jessica.
