~3rd Person POV~

Eventually, Ray and Jessica retreat back to Ray's quarters to continue their conversation, learning more and more about each other's pasts.

Like how Jessica was taught to hunt a microceratus before she was allowed to help the pack track bigger prey. That's why she'd brought Ray to the one she'd sniffed when they'd first met.

Ray tells Jessica about his late fiancé Anna, who was killed by Slade Wilson's mirakuru army when they stormed Star City a couple years back. At first, this conversation he'd started was a distraction for Jessica and her dark thoughts, but they both seem to enjoy talking about their pasts with each other.

Ray decides it's best that he leave out the whole dating Felicity Smoak thing for his own sanity. Especially since Jessica is her distant kin. Jessica does tell Ray about her nest with Niles and how it was raided and destroyed. Jessica leaves out no details, and Ray only holds back the one thing.

This woman before him is stronger than he could have ever imagined. She was left in the Cretaceous period with only memory of her first name and her abilities. She survived for fifteen years through what seems to Ray as a living hell, and yet she sits here with him smiling and laughing. And Ray finds himself falling for her.

Her kindness, determination, protectiveness, and so many more things contribute to what Ray enjoys about her.

Ray's optimism, contagious happiness, and intelligence are only a few of the things that keeps Jessica with him. She thinks a moment about the 'find the hoodie' game she used to play with him. Was it really just to see him panic? Or was it to see him?

Both of these Legends are completely twisted in their feelings and they don't know how to fix it.

"What're you feeling?" Jessica asks. "It's weird."

"Can't you turn that off?" Ray asks causing Jessica to laugh. "Stop animal sensing me."

"I can't," she tells him. "I can usually ignore them, but yours are strong. I always feel yours." The butterflies in Ray's stomach start fluttering like crazy.

"Really?" He asks, finding this information to be absolutely adorable.

"Only when Amaya and Nate are together, then that's all I can sense. Whatever they've got is strong," she explains. Ray rolls his eyes. "What's wrong?"
