Runnin' - Nico and Vinz

~3rd Person POV~

"What do you mean he did this?" Ray asks, concern laced into his voice as tears fall from Jessica's eyes.

"He was there," she repeats herself.

"What did he do?" Ray asks.

"I... I don't know. All I know is I see him and then I'm a raptor." Ray sits in front of her, giving his knees a break from kneeling.

"Well we still need to get him back," Ray tells her. Jessica's head snaps up and Ray can see the fear in her eyes. "We'll keep him away from you, does that sound okay?"

"Uh..." she stays silent. "Go help your friend." She tucks her head back into her curled-up self. Ray stands and as he goes to the door, he looks back at his friend, terrified of the man who put his family of Legends together. After a moment of looking back at Jessica, he hesitantly leaves to talk to the rest of the team about the situation.

"Guys," Ray catches everyone's attention. "Jessica knows Rip."

"What?" Sara asks, leaning her weight into both hands on the table in the office.

"She said she saw him, and then she was a raptor," he explains. "She's terrified."

"She's scared?" Jax asks. "She isn't scared of anything, man. She ran right at Darhk without hesitation!"

"She literally ran through an air strike," Nathan adds. "And she's scared of this Rip guy?"

"Then he's done some horrible stuff that he didn't tell us," Sara concludes. "This is how she figures out who she is. We need to get Rip back."

Ray has been put on standby for this mission, so he goes back to his quarters to find Jessica staring at the opposite corner of the room.

"Are you okay?" He asks, sitting next to her on the floor.

"No?" She asks more than answers. "I'm scared."

"Well, if it helps, he remembers nothing about us and certainly nothing about you," Ray tells her. "So it's like he's a completely different person."

"I still don't like him," she tells Ray, turning her attention from the corner to him.

"I don't expect you to." Ray puts his hand on her shoulder. "But we are going to take him aboard. We have to. If we can get him to remember who he is, then we can figure out who you were, how long you were there, who you knew, when you came from. All the questions we've all been asking. Everyone on this ship has questions, and he can answer them."
